A medical clinic in Västerås in central Sweden has been reported for sterilising the wrong man.
According to a complaint filed with the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen), a patient came to the clinic on the afternoon of June 22nd to have a biopsy performed on his prostate.
But doctors and nurses at the urology and gynecology clinic neglected to double check the identity of the patient who thought he was leaving a tissue sample.
Instead of carrying out the scheduled biopsy, doctors performed a vasectomy on the man – the procedure scheduled for the day’s next patient.
Officials with the health board will now review the complaint to determine what, if any, sanctions may be issued.

Obama is ***** me off by not being FIRM on the public option in health care. He’s being too wishy-washy. Republicans aren’t going to support any kind of universal health care, so he should just forget about them, tell the 60 Dems in the Senate to get his plan with a PUBLIC plan hammered through... I want the public option to be so good, that virtually everyone voluntarily switches to it and all the evil health insurance companies go out of business!!!!!
Personally, I REALLY want a Scandinavian-style (signle-payer/hospitals owned by the government/NO PRIVATE INSURANCE system), but that will NEVER happen in America...even though it’s the best way. :-) :-)
