I really don’t think we’ll have to worry about that with Obama; but having said that, my faith in our democracy has been shaken by the Democrats’ successful attempts at stealing elections. One wonders where that slippery slope could lead to..........

With this clown the scenario you expressed must now be considered. However, his approval ratings are going down. “HE” and his Apostles may write off his desire to hold eternal office as an impossibility.

Now let’s say he does this ridiculous thing that you believe will happen...it will begin with the President AFTER Obama.

I presume by "this ridiculous thing" you are referring to a repeal of the 22nd Amendment.

Have you ever read the 22nd Amendment ... serious question.

The 22nd is explicitly worded not to apply to any president elected prior to its ratification.

There is no guarantee a "Repeal 22" amendment would have any such disclaimer.

"Unless his handlers and ventriloquists create an emergency and declare Martial Law before then. Then we might not have such a thing as “terms” at all."

Except for prison terms for Republicans.

if Americans come to their senses.

Lol! Thanks for the laugh. Unfortunately, you are asking an aweful lot. I don't see it happening. Rather, I see the Amerikan public to say "Oh, he has been the most wonderful President! Let's let him stay!"

Hate to break the news to you, but the Constitution doesn't matter anymore.

If this should come to pass, and I'd say the odds are not especially low, I would think even Claire Wolf would agree:

It's Time

Never say never, but if things keep going the way they are, Civil War 2 is fast on it's way. Also, unless the economy improves (like it did for Ronaldus Magnus for example) he's out in 2012.

The big problem is getting the sh*t back in the horse i.e. rolling back the damage this Marxist thug unleashes.

That is my understanding also. In order to eliminate the 22nd amendment, a new amendment would be needed repealing the 22nd. The occupant of the WH would not be effected by the changed (new) amendment. Truman would have been eligible to run for as many terms as he pleased. Eisenhower would have been the first President limited to two terms by virtue of being the first President elected under the new amendment.

Why do you think that? There is a specific exception for the sitting President in the 22nd amendment. But that doesn't mean there would be one in any repeal of it. Even under the 22nd, it wasn't when they were elected that counted, it was if they were serving when the amendment was proposed and/or ratified. But that was put in to make the amendment more attractive to Democrats, who would not have wanted Truman so limited, although in the event he, like every President, save F. Roosevelt, chose not to seek a 3rd term.

It also would have to be repealed by 75% of State Legislatures and that won’t happen.

Congress has no authority to real a Constitutional amendment no matter how many votes they have.

When are you going to fight? The sheer number of responses to the Michael threads versus the Cap and Trade [Climate Control Act]suggest that the American public is more concerned with a degenerate than something that will eventually cost them their freedom.

By 2016 at the speed he is moving now, obama will have everyone in one of the camps that Glen Beck says doesn’t exist.

There is another Bill in the House that when passed, will give obama total control of the food supply. That will make the gun issue moot.

And last but not least, If Americans will not fight over the Climate Control Act, they will not fight over anything.

Oh yeah, the 2010 elections are coming, we will regain control of the House then. Wrong! ACORN was just given 4 billion or more dollars to see that this doesn’t happen. Add that to a Republican Party with no leadership, no spine, and completely lacking the will to fight.

I, myself, am not going to one of obama’s camps. That means that they will kill me at my house. but when they come I will do the best I can.

I think that is the result of a formatting error. I wrote "that SOB (Barky)" but I guess that's not how it came out on your browser.

I just started using the new Firefox 3.5 today (upgraded from an earlier Firefox). Hope that didn't change use of html in any way.

BTW, are you using Internet Explorer perhaps?

No, no I use some thing that is on a black screen with amber letters. That’s it.

I can’t believe what a complete idiotic statement you made. First of all this has been predicted since Clinton. Second the wackos were saying that Bush wanted to be the Dictator forever. Now you are the wacko. Funny how that happened. Now let’s say he does this ridiculous thing that you believe will happen...it will begin with the President AFTER Obama. Do you have any type of education at all...serious question.

Although I do remember the media saying things like Clinton and Bush running for a 3rd term - it is something that Barry would attempt to do just like Chavez. Besides we already know how he feels about the constitution, so why would he adhere to the 22nd. That ammendment is challenged every so often anyway.
