I can really feel the love in this post. It feels like heartburn.

[[I can really feel the love in this post. It feels like heartburn.]]

Really? Can you also ‘feel the love’ in the following verses?

“Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.’”
— Jesus Christ, Mark 7:6

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense, make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.”
— Jesus Christ, Matthew 23: 14-15

“But the fearful, (afraid of what ‘others’ might think about following and trusting in Jesus)

and unbelieving,

and the abominable, (this covers many sins including sexual immorality, homosexuality, etc.)

and murderers,

and whoremongers (’pornos’ ... from which we get the word ‘pornography’),

and sorcerers (’pharmakeus’ ... drugs),

and idolaters, (wanting or loving anything more than God-Jesus ... work, sports, music, etc.)

and all liars,

shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone:

which is the second death (Hell).”
(Revelation 21:8)

“Not everyone who says to Me (Jesus), ‘Lord, Lord,’ (calling themselves ‘Christian’)
shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven ...
Many (’most’ or ‘majority’) will say to Me in that Day (of Judgment),
‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied (taught) in your Name,
cast out demons in Your Name,
and done many wonders in Your Name?’
And then (at the judgment), I (Jesus) will declare to them
‘I never knew you
Depart from Me (departing from Heaven and into Hell)
you who practice lawlessness’”
(Matthew 7:21-23)

Better grab yourself a big bottle of tums if you think God turns a blind eye to blatant rejection of Him

As well:

Mt. 10:34-36 “Think not that I am come to send peace on the earth; I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.”

InMt. 11:21-24 Jesus rebuked severely, and bitterly, the people of the cities of Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum, when he pronounced Woe upon them.
In Mt. 12:33-37 Jesus Rebukes the people who were Pharisees, the church people of that day, with words that you would find very objectionable today, when Jesus called them Vipers, (snakes) and that they are Evil, then proceeded to tell them why they were evil.

In Mt. 12:38-39 Jesus calls the Scribes that he is speaking to, Evil, and Adulterous people.

In Mt. 15:1-9 and Mk 7:1-13 Jesus calls the Scribes and Pharisees Hypocrites who are teaching wrong man made doctrines.

In Mt. 16:4 Jesus tells the Pharisees and Sadducees that they are Wicked and Adulterous
In Mt. 16:6-11 Jesus warns the Apostles to look out for and to stay away from the false Doctrines being taught by the Pharisees and Sadducees

In Mt. 16:22-23 Jesus Rebukes his friend Peter for speaking what was Not of God.

In Mt. 21:12-13 Jesus showed his Love of God when he drove the money changers and those who made the Temple a place of business, a place to make a prophet out of those who had come to worship God.

In Mt. 23:13-36 Jesus pronounces seven Woes against the Pharisees and Scribes, again calling them Hypocrites, calling them blind guides, calling them fools. Calls them down for trying to look good and righteous while they are rotten on the inside.

‘Love’ doesn’t simply turn a blind eye to wickedness- it calls it out in the hopes that hte wicked will come to understand their sin and repent before it’s too late- It would be an act of un-love to pretend wicked people are ‘good people who are simply a little misguided’- they are NOT- their hearts are set agaisnt God, their creator, and hteir wickedness is on full display for all to see. Let them have their days of protest- let them mock, because life on earth is as close to heaven as they will ever experience IF they do not change hteir ways, and eternity for htem will be harsh and eternal- never ending.

I do NOT wish htem to continue in their ways, nor to suffer eternal damnation- but it is apparent they have set hteir hearts to continue in it
