I forgot about that thing over the Grand Canyon. Scary! Not really. In California, all buildings and interstate bridges must be “earthquake proof” and its not. There is a fault called the Puente Hills fault that runs from Dodger Stadium straight to though the center of downtown Los Angeles. The fault is capable of a 7 plus magnitude. Those buildings are only designed for a quake on the San Andreas fault. When I am in any building, I always look for the exits and fire hoses. I figure I can use a fire hose as rope to shimmy down to the next floor and to the ground.
