Honduras Gets Ultimatum From American Nations (Oh No! Not the "Ultimatum"! /sarc)
ny times ^ | 7/1/2009 | SHARON OTTERMAN and MARC LACEY

The Organization of American States gave Honduras three days Wednesday to restore the deposed president, Manuel Zelaya, or face suspension, as the interim leader of the country defied international condemnation of the coup that led to his appointment and said only force could unseat him.

Calling Mr. Zelaya’s overthrow an “old-fashioned coup,” the organization’s secretary general, Miguel Insulza, said: “We need to show clearly that military coups will not be accepted. We thought we were in an era when military coups were no longer possible in this hemisphere,” The Associated Press reported.

Jorge Taiana, the foreign minster of Argentina who presided over the special session in Washington of the 34-nation assembly, said that if the diplomatic approach does not prevail within 72 hours, “We have to take the decision to suspend Honduras in its rights and duties in this organization.”

The push is on to have the Marxist reinstated. If he is, will he merely serve out the remainder of his term or will he continue his subversion of the Honduran constitution? I know, it’s a silly question but if he succeeds don’t expect to ever hear about it in the press. Honduras will cease to exist for the media.

Now we’ll find out whether Obama, Chavez, and their socialist buddies run Honduras or the Honduran people do. I’m rooting for the people.

So they invite Castro to join, but throw out a democratic country? BS. If we had half a POTUS we would be helping Honduras.

I’m off to Honduras for a long-planned dive trip on Friday. As much as I wish these people well, I really wish they had delayed this whole coup business for a couple of weeks at least.

Unbelievable. Bambi is calling out the full force of the leftist NGOs and quasi-govt organizations to crush Honduras for having opposed his wishes.

Makes me want to buy a ticket for Honduras right now and say there’s at least one American who is on the side of freedom and the rule of law.

Actually, it’s a great question.

He will almost certainly be reinstated at some point, if just to keep the aid money coming and the exports going. As admirable as Micheletti and company have been in this situation, I don’t think anyone wants the average Honduran to suffer because of this scoundrel. Despite the object lesson he received, he and his buddies will probably try whatever they can to get what they want. Hopefully, the Hondurans will watch him like a hawk until they finally boot his butt out legitimately. Of course, it doesn’t help his cause that he has now been outed as a tool of foreign interests.

Drugs. Being seen with Zelaya is very bad for Costa Rican president, as US has DEA there training agents for CR. Columbia now consider them suspicious for this, but CR has long standing “Swiss” stance to protect idiots from all over. Many of now citizens here were children who watched thousands of themselves be made soldiers at 7,8,9 years old and all friends die, like myself. This is at emocional nivel for us, that we have one less neighborhood meeting to go to is relief. Stupid organizaciones, ONU, OTAN, OAS. Puffery bullfrog ribit ribit. CIA wrong side in 80s, tens of thousands died in Salvador and Nicaragua and come to Honduras to escaparlo, and to US. Obama want to be murderer and genocide maker like in 80s, you are starting problems where you know nothing. Stop. Apologize to our people for opening mouth without knowing anything. You are like Paris Hilton, you are no qualified for this job and your helpers are asleep at wheel. You not find dark place with both hands in butt.

Watch “Innocent Voices” with little boy “chava”, es “vozes inocentes” en Spanish subtitulada, this is best cine movie about what happened here, why we need no more war no more communist no more dictator. They murder people for drugs and power in Mexico, Venezuela, El Salvador, Columbia. We do not wnat this in Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, Belize we have still young democracy but good one and this is very important for nosotros.
