ISTA — An Escondido man has been convicted of torturing and murdering his girlfriend's 2-year-old boy.

Jurors in Vista returned the verdict today against 24-year-old Jose Maurice Castenada. He faces the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Prosecutors say Castenada tortured 2-year-old Cesar Razo using hangers, cable wire, belts and a yellow cord.

The boy died in a hospital in June 2005 after Castenada tortured him for as long as 10 months and kept him in a cramped, dark closet.

for every one of these creatures, there’s always the girlfriend who allows it to go on...

I hope the guards tell the other prisoners what he did.

F**king bastard. I hope he gets the same done to him in prison, and then in Hell.

I hope the “creature” passing herself off as a “mother” gets life in prison.

Prison is too good for this “mother.” Just lock her in a closet & forget about her.

Just asking. Is he a natural-born US citizen?

Or is he just here to do the toddlers that Americans (except for liberal University Employees from the Carolinas) won't?

NO Cheers.

We can’t use the electric chair on him because it’s too cruel and unusual. /sarcasm

Lynching, for both of them, in the form of being tied to a stake with wire and summarily burned alive. As it was said in centuries past, give them a taste of the eternity for which they will be headed.
