I actually forgot all about this.
You can close the book on the 2008 elections.

Sotomayor, Cap & Trade, ... you name it ... the Rinos are liberal democrats. I wish I could respond more, but with the 0 economy I've had to lay off people and do more.
Franken is just the icing on the cake. The radical left has control of the legislative and executive branches and the judiciary is a push at best. It really is depressing.
The Pubs are our best hope that's why it's important to support guys like Sen. DeMint who started SenateConservatives.com. Any contributions only go to conservatives not the Pub party. A 3rd party will not help, it will only improve the odds of Rats picking up marginal districts, or senate races.

I agree. While both parties are filled with liars and manipulators who are beholden to God-knows-who, there is a fundamental difference between the ideologies, not the least of which is that (real) Republicans work to slow down the persistent march of big government while Democrats (every last one of them) race to pile on more and more burdensome, bloated bureaucracy with our tax dollars.
So when Democrats get into office they hit the ground running and push full-steam-ahead with their burgeoning socialist agenda, while when Republicans get into office they spend most of their time just trying to undo (or at least curtail) the damage the previous Democrats did.
And if I had to choose, I'd always take a hypocritical sinner who at least is ashamed enough of their sin to hide it over a flagrant libertine who declares his sin is righteous.
At this point it may take a "radical discontinuity" of God to right our listing ship of state.

now the senate has a clear 60 votes.
Obama will run through the constitution and pass whatever he pleases unless we get the senate to restore it’s mind.

There are many mediocre and corrupt people in the United States Senate. But for the people of Minnesota to elect Al Franken is an insult and a mockery of the democratic process, and a slap in the face to the rest of the country. Minnesotans have shamed themselves, and for what— more government checks, I suppose.
To: JimSEA
Someone should make a billboard of that picture with the caption "Senator from Minnesota" and erect it at the State border, outside the Minneapolis airport, etc.
To: hinckley buzzard
LOL There could be some other good billboards for other states (Pelosi and Waxman for CA for instance). I like the idea.

will likely give Democrats 60-vote supermajority in Senate
/////////////////
With all the superRINOs, the dems have had supermajority for a long time.

Be patient. The Good Guys win in the end, I peeked at the back of the book.
I'm afraid that's a very old book you looked at there. That was when cowboys were the good guys and mentally ill clowns were pitied. In todays version, cowboy diplomacy is ridiculed and sick comedians are appointed to the Senate by the courts.
To: Welcome2thejungle
I have a dream. I dreamt that our Republican representatives suddenly grew some cajones, and every time Franken spoke in front of the Senate, they would roar with laughter. You can bet that if Dennis Miller was elected to the Senate, the Dems. would do it.
