IF YOU WANT A HANDGUN, YOU BETTER BUY IT NOW!
Website ^ | 06/30/2009 | Evan F. Nappen, Esq.

Posted on 06/30/2009 4:57:56 AM PDT by Revtwo

Handgun sales and purchases by New Jersey Retail Dealers are going to virtually end after November 2009. This is because the New Jersey legislature hurriedly passed the so-called “One Gun a Month” bill (A339), which was known to be seriously flawed. The defective bill is absurd, as it address a non-existent problem. No self-respecting gun trafficker would obtain their handguns by first applying for New Jersey Handguns Permits, paying over $50 in fees, and insuring that any handgun he sells on the street was papered to him! Notwithstanding just how idiotic the law is, it awaits the Governor Corzine’s signature and there is no reason to believe he will veto it.

The same thing that’s happening to this country - the enemy within.

All anti-legal firearms ownership laws are bad ideas pushed by liberal, socialist statists.

What I fear is that these idiots will shift the bans to ammunition limits or bans. This recent ammo and primer drought at our retail and Internet stores is a heads up. If I can’t get primers I am disarmed. Primers, unlike other ammo components are hard to make outside of a big factory. Take away the primers and we are back to shooting flintlocks. Try going up against a tyranny backed modern army or police force with a flint lock - you lose.

I’m getting to the point where I don’t care if the liberal states don’t have guns and ammunition. Those states can always serve as a bad example.

Absolutely.

This is not the country I want to be a part of any more.

It is turning into a hate filled morass of selfish graspy people who deny individual freedom.

It's starting to look like the best analogy for today is a Wildebeest surrounded by Hienas with the prey no knowing where the next attack will come from and having to constantly be on alert for an attack from almost any direction.

The gun grabbers and the rest of the anti-liberty types in the Demonrat party seem to be constantly coming up with different threats to our Liberties and Freedoms, as a way of deliberately keeping us off balance, not knowing how or when they will try to destroy our rights.

Not always true. It is not the weapons that are lacking, or would be lacking, it is the will to use them.

“No single phrase better captures this disparity than this question posed in “Gardens
of Stone,” a movie about the Vietnam war: “How do you beat an enemy who is willing to fight helicopters with bows and arrows?”20 In Vietnam, enemy tactics seemed “to be motivated by a desire to impose casualties on Americans regardless of the cost to themselves.”21 According to one RAND analysis of Vietnam, the enemy was “willing to suffer losses at a far greater rate than our own, but he has not accepted these losses as decisive and refuses to sue for peace.”22 In Somalia, the enemy used slingshots against helicopters

You are clearly on of those selfish, "Me Generation" brats. You guys did not learn you history lessons.

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

Re post 9, True, a dedicated group may fight a superior force if willing to take casualties and inflict some losses on the superior force.

The problem is the reaction by the superior force. In ‘Nam, America reacted badly to our casualties due to a greater respect for life and due to the left using casualties to weaken national resolve. In fighting government tryanny, the government we fear may want to suppress rebellion more than it fears bad PR or its military/police losses. Witness today’s Iran, with strong police control, an unarmed populace is overwhelmed by the bad government.

For non-Jersey residents, what action do you propose we take to remedy this situation?

Or is saying we care on the internet good enough for you?

Urge your state legislature to pass state sovereignty legislation or move to one that will/has.

I said I am getting to the point I don’t care. So where have you ever cared? Are you part of the Californian lawsuit with the NRA? Are you part of the lawsuit against San Francisco with the NRA?

Are you a patron life member of the NRA?

While I was in Illinois, did you fight against the Oak Park gun ban even if you didn’t live in Illinois?

This is about selfish you and the rest of the californians who expect someone in Texas to shovel more money at you.

This is about 75 million gunowners too lazy and selfish who expect four million NRA members to bail you out.

This is about selfish you.

I had a lesson in caring last weekend. There’s this “jerk” who acts like the worst guy you could ever be around.

When he found out some casual aquaintences were stranded on the highway, this “jerk” jumped in his beater truck and drove over a hundred miles to tow them home.

After hours of helping his sister with her car, she called him to thank him and say the car was doing great.

These are his exact words minus the profanity: %$&*(@# DON’T CALL ME WHEN THINGS ARE OK, JUST CALL ME WHEN YOU’RE IN TROUBLE!!!!

He still treats me like #$%^ because I like Fords and he likes Chevys.

California has had this "one gun a month" scheme for many years. Mrs. Absalom is under the impression that I'm obliged to purchase one a month.

None of you cats had better tell her any different!

You can donate to the NRA. You can boycott dealers who will not sell firearms or ammunition into states that require a little added effort on the part of the dealer. You can lend a hand by writing to the state representatives in places like NJ. You don’t have to say you are from out of state when you do this.

I have listed in a previous post where I cared. Yes, I donated. Yes, I donated. Yes, for over 40 years. No, but I do refuse to by ammo from dealers who will not sell into Illinois.

I do not expect people someone in Texas to shovel money to me. I am not sure where you are coming from with that.

Your original post implied that you were about to join those 75 million uncaring gun owners. If that is not what you meant then please clarify what you meant when you said, "I don’t care if the liberal states don’t have guns and ammunition."
