And your point about transplanted Texans is ...?

From a Native Texan who had ancestors that were here during the Republic (most of my ancestors came during Reconstruction):

Texas is not where you were born, but is a State of mind and heart. The essence of it is "leave me alone to live my life in peace, if that is not satisfactory we will deal with it".

If you feel comfortable with that you could probably be a Texan.

I believe if we had earlier “dealt with” elitist libs insisting on controlling our way of life,

we wouldn’t be in the mess we are today, nor talking of splitting the country.

Well said.....and so true..... Same hear..my grandparents arrived from Germany through the Port of Galveston..... Being a native Texan, I also welcome those longing for the same freedom.

Thank you sir!

Although, not born in Texas, your "state of mind" being absolutely has applied in my life for as long as I have memory.

Moved here from South Dakota, where it is absolutely as blunt if not more descriptive in its bluntness.

Knew I fit in down here upon my first visit. I rub shoulders with like minded individuals and don't have to endure the cold!

The day will come when such like minded individuals will band together and send the others packing, one way or the other! Might be as I won't be around to see it, but should we continue down the path our Feds are currently taking, I just might get to enjoy seeing it come about!

Posted back once but didn't go through.

Thank you, sir!

The Texas "state of mind" you describe, has and continues to fit me to a "T". Born and raised in a Southern Military family, 10 years active service myself, and recently moved from South Dakota, where the "state of mind", if possible is even more blunt concerning alternatives, I knew I fit right in when we retired here.

The day will come, and IMO, not too long from now as the Fed continues to usurp individual and States rights that all of us in that "state of mind" will be showing those who are not a very easy way out. One choice - LEAVE;, as you won't want to contemplate the alternative.

Thank you again!
