Anybody have a scorecard for the good guys and bad guys in this one? Is this a hugo chavez takevoer? Seems the military has traditionally pro-American.
The guy the army took out was trying to get a Chavez-style referendum through.
No, the military and courts were trying to avoid a chavez takeover.
Nope, not a Chavez anything.
The ousted prez tried to step on their constitution and the senate and the supreme court backed his dismissal.
The supreme court also backed the military arrest of the prez - all done in accordance to the Honduran constitution.
The President that was ousted wanted to have a Referendum today to do away with the Constitutiuon. The Congress and Supreme Court asked the military to oust him as he wanted to set himself up as a dictator without a Constitution is what I read.
Which would figure why ZERO chose the President that wanted to do away with the Constitution.
In other words, Zelaya wanted to start a process of destroying government by Constitution and replacing it with mob rule.
With himself as the leader of the mob.
Bozo backs the guy because of course he wants to try the same thing here and it obviously terrified Bozo the WH clown.
You need to get a scorecard. This was a legal move. The other branches of government voted this guy out when he consistently violated the law by trying to get another term. The Supreme court of Honduras ruled that he had to step down, the other branches of the government, in accordance with their constitution, concurred. He refused to step down, so their Supreme court ordered the army to arrest him.
This guy is a friend of Chavez and Chavez is irritated that this took place.
Bozo backs the guy because of course he wants to try the same thing here and it obviously terrified Bozo the WH clown.
