Looks like we’ll be seeing even a bigger flood of Central American aliens coming over the borders.....just in time for amnesty!

Perhaps. But expect to see some action on Mexico's southern border. Mexicans are likely to just shoot them coming across

Trouble is, they don't have the means to overthrow him while the military is still backing him.

Ah! But once the people find out that the Venezuelan military is just a paper tiger...

I bet he is golfing! He has not been on TV all day!

Now if we could just get away from this endless coverage of MJ. It is just not normal!

Come on, the Venezuelan army might intimidate unarmed civilians, but I sincerely doubt that they can handle a trained and armed military force.

Reading about a countries military power before posting on a forum can do miracles for a posts contents.

I recall a time many months ago when tensions were up between Columbia and Venezuela, and some of the experts*** here concluded they were evenly matched ...

Venezuela received "much much much" military hardware from us (America) before Hugo came to power ...

I've had all I can have with Chavez's stupidity ... why we allow a loose cannon to remain in charge of a oil producing country in our hemisphere is beyond me ...

*** experts - word used very loosely. ;-)

1. I wonder what sort of military sea and airlift capability Venezuela has in actually getting troops in the area.

They have 4 Large Landing Ship's, each capable of transporting 440 troops. In terms of airlift...about 12 very large Il-76/78 transports along with some C-130's and C-123's.

Another phone call at 2am....

It's 2 am
The fear is gone
I'm sitting here waiting
The gun's still warm
Maybe my connection is tired of taking chances

Yeah, there's a storm on the loose
Sirens in my head
Wrapped up in silence
All circuits are dead
Cannot decode
My whole life spins into a frenzy

Help I'm steppin' into the Twilight Zone
Place is a madhouse
Feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved
Under moon and star
Where am I to go Now that I've gone too far

Soon You will come to know
When the bullet hits the bone

Well I’m sure they have landing rights in Havana. Then they’ll just have to swim for it. ;)

0 already said he’s “deeply concerned” in the article on foxnews.com. But he his concern was for the removal of the commie dictator by the military.

I guess elements of a paratrooper brigade could be flown over in them to secure an airstrip for a larger force? Complete speculation though, chances are nothing at all will happen.

Zelfaya is a stooge for Chavez. Venezuela is going to invade Honduras just so his stooge can become El Presidente for life?

Will Hussein act to defend the legitimate government of Honduras from a Marxist takeover?

2. The US military has a Joint Task Force in Honduras at Soto Cano Air Base.

That's going to make it tough for Zer0 to vote present if Hugo actually does do something.

The question for me is, what will Colombia do? Will Venezuela have to attack from Cuba? If they do, this should set off a war in Northern south America/Central America.
