Actually Venezuela has F-16’s and Su-30’s. Honduras has a handful of F-5 Tigers from the 60’s...
They might have them, but can they use them? Besides, wars are won on the ground not in the skies.

1. I wonder what sort of military sea and airlift capability Venezuela has in actually getting troops in the area.
2. The US military has a Joint Task Force in Honduras at Soto Cano Air Base.

As for Honduras, we are seeing what happens when politicians get out of control, the people or the army; or both; take out the garbage.

The Venezuelian economy is in shambles because of Hugo's interference... if Hugo makes a military move... and fails... the population is going to turn against him.

I assume that given the fact they have been flying them for years, then yes they can "use them". Air superiority is key in any conflict. I've no idea what the hell Chavez might actually do, but if this isn't just bluster and he actually does something, the likelihood will be it will come from the air.
This is where you see appeasement in action, they are going to make a big show to get something for free.
This will happen again and again until they think they can just take over entire countries.
The appeasement escalating crisises have been set in motion.
