That’s a hopeful change.
Zelaya's presidential term ends in January 2010. Under current laws, he cannot seek another term. So he wanted to put a measure in the November ballot that allows a formation of a constitutional assembly to modify the nation's charter to allow him to run for another term.
In short, he wants to do an end run around the constitution and become a dictator for life like his friend, Hugo.
“...and may be on his way to Venezuela.”
What I heard before the top of the hour was that he is in Costa Rica.
I hope Obama is next.
I await the moment that this headline will not say Honduran Prez....but American Prez.
