Nanny reveals tragic secret life of Jackson

Maurice Chittenden and John Harlow Los Angeles

THE nanny who became “mother” to Michael Jackson’s three children has told how she regularly had to pump his stomach to remove dangerous cocktails of drugs.

Grace Rwaramba, 42, who flew from London to Los Angeles yesterday in the hope of being reunited with his children, has given a graphic account of the singer’s increasingly desperate final months.

She paints a grim picture of Jackson, sometimes penniless but deluded about his “riches”, leading a nomadic life, moving from country to country and hotel to hotel, before allegedly falling under the increasing influence of the Nation of Islam, the extremist sect.

Jackson is believed to have been taking up to eight different drugs a day, including three narcotic painkillers. Rwaramba, who is expected to be interviewed by detectives about whether she helped administer the drugs, said: “I had to pump his stomach many times. He always mixed so much of it.

“There was one period that it was so bad that I didn’t let the children see him . . . He always ate too little and mixed too much.”

The nanny says she once called in the singer’s mother, Katherine, and sister, Janet, to attempt an “intervention”, trying to persuade the singer to come to terms with his addiction. Instead Jackson turned on her, accusing her of betraying him. “He didn’t want to listen; that was one of the times he let me go,” she said.

Rwaramba, who is from Rwanda, worked for Jackson for more than a decade, starting as an office assistant before becoming nanny to his children, Michael Jr, known as Prince, aged 12; Paris, 11; and Prince Michael II, 7, nicknamed Blanket to distinguish him from his brother.

Holy Moly, after reading that link, all I can think of is-if she did pump his stomach, was it legal, and why didn’t they call 911, get the kids protected and hold him accountable. Tough love...

Do they have 911 in other countries?

If the grandmother knew all of this, did she just want him to die or was afraid she’d be cut off financially if she intervened. It would be nice to have answers.

She worked for him for ten years. Presumably, a portion of this time was in the U.S.

Well, with someone who was in England, Ireland, Japan, France, other European countries, and who knows what Muslim countries..., one would have no idea...

And who knows what the requirements and/or laws are in those various countries...

You said — If the grandmother knew all of this, did she just want him to die or was afraid she’d be cut off financially if she intervened. It would be nice to have answers.

You don’t help someone unless they want the help. If they don’t you really can’t do anything about it. And it gets worse, the more money that person has...

Okay..yeah, he’s exempt from the laws of our country while in others. I didn’t think about that. He got away with a lot! But he was in LA for how long until his death? They could have intervened on behalf of the children. I guess pointless to think about it.

If he was broke, I’m sure janet “may” have the money to get custody..and let him flounder. I agree with you - people have to want to help themselves. He imho abandoned his children and everyone around him let it happen.

“I agreed with the verdict when it was issued, and still think it was correct.”

Having read through all the transcripts and closely following the trial, I couldn’t agree with you more.

May he finally have peace.

I just heard on the radio that the person who has the most legal right to the two oldest children is their birth mother.

They didn't mention anything about the youngest - 'Blanket'. I never heard who his mother is.

My inquiry isn’t related to laws as much as the actual performance of the procedure. With Jackson’s nasal passages compromised due to extensive surgeries, nasogastric route would likely be quite difficult, and in a home setting no less. Color me a teensy bit skeptical. It rates up there with performing CPR in a bed.

LOL Do you mean emergency hotlines? For example, dial 999 in the UK

"Operator, give me the number for 911!"

“The California justice system had a chance to prove many of these allegations, and could not.”

You can’t be that naive. How many times did the justice system take John Gotti to trial, and not get a conviction? Would you have us believe he wasn’t a mobster through each and every trial at which he was acquited?

No doubt he was a drug addict, and it cost him his life; but a jury found him not guilty of the sex charge, and I don’t know of any evidence they were mistaken. Do you have any evidence that the jury didn’t get to see?

These are links to a series of very detailed investigative stories published in Vanity Fair. They were written by Maureen Orth over a 12 year period of covering Jackson. The author notes that nothing published in these stories was ever legally challenged by Jackson or his associates. The case against Jackson is quite damning.

Vanity Fair? Repeating the same stories over and over for 12 years doesn’t constitute proof. It constitutes commerce.

It seems that Jordie Chandler was invited by the prosecutor to testify under oath against Michael Jackson, and declined.
He had a chance to testify first in his own case, and then in the 2005 case, and both times he declined.

Macauley Culkin did testify under oath, and Michael Jackson was acquitted.

It’s hard to believe that someone as weird as Michael Jackson was actually innocent of child molestation, but after 32 hours of deliberation that’s what the jury ruled. I continue to think it was a correct verdict.

So what? Adults don't have sleep overs with other peoples children. The man, as brilliant as he was, just wasn't right.

“I sure don’t see anybody making him out to be a “hero.””

I’ve heard plenty of that on the radio. Makes me want to vomit.
