You recall that massive new tax passed yesterday? The one where 8 Republicans stabbed their constituents in the heart and voted to pass it......(via Michelle Malkin)
Bono Mack (CA) (202) 225-5330
Castle (DE) (202) 225-4165
Kirk (IL) (202) 225-4385 (And hes seriously considering running for Senate!)
Lance (NJ) (202) 225-5361
LoBiondo (NJ) (202) 225-6572
McHugh (NY) (202) 225-4611
Reichert (WA) (202) 225-7761
Smith (NJ) (202) 225-3765
You remember now don't you?
Well, those who voted on it could not remember much seeing as how it DOESN'T EXIST:
Nobody could have read the bill the House passed last night because there is no bill. There apparently wasn't time to pull together a finished product that accounted for the hundreds of pages of amendments because of Pelosi's headlong rush to slam this lunacy through before anybody had a chance to learn what was actually in it. So there is no "it" that all the pages and pages of words can be found "in." Democrats have passed a concept not a bill.

I am going to see my congressman this afternoon. I intend to ask him how he can justify voting on bills he has not read or understood.
Unbelievable incompetence, corruption, and irresponsible behavior on the part of the ruling elite; and vicious manipulation and destruction of the hard working citizens of this nation. All based on junk science and the words of a clown-—Al Gore, who sold his bill of goods to those who saw a way to profit from it.
So, what will the ramifications be? And when do we initiate them?
John McHugh’s website won’t let you contact him if you aren’t from his district.
How charming.
If there is no bill; how could they pass it and why?
Could this be Pelosi’s swan song?
Call his office or fax it.
Fax him...........they pay more attention to letters and faxes than emails.
You know with the media concerned about “record gun and ammo sales” you’d think that these people would be a little concerned about rubbing their constituents the wrong way...
but nope, even though the phone-lines were jammed all morning (and probably all afternoon too, I ended up using a fax) which were allegedly nearly 100% urging/telling the representatives to vote ‘no’ we are still treated to the TARP-treatment. They make soothing cooing noises and don’t actually do anything about it!
I’m becoming more and more certain that the only way We the People will have political reform, or even justice carried out among the ‘political-elite’, is when we try these people and, should we find them guilty of treason; Conspiracy Against Rights; and/or Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law, hang them.
MALPRACTICE
In law, malpractice is a type of negligence in which the misfeasance, malfeasance or nonfeasance of a professional, under a duty to act, fails to follow generally accepted professional standards, and that breach of duty is the proximate cause of injury to a plaintiff who suffers damages.
'Malpractice' won't fly (sadly) because the bastards will have the defence that they aren't professionals (true enough, too), and the US Code makes that a requirement for the crime.
Have to find some different statutes, I'm afraid.
I was trying to figure out what the relation of this little stunt is to the concept of “Taxation without representation” and realized that it’s “Tyranny”, pure and simple.
Two points:
1) I think that all the official contact websites need your address
2) Do you think that they look at any eMails from outside their Districts?...........come to think on it, do you think that ANY of them look at ANY emails?
They're all set up that way. Yesterday I contacted Vern Ehlers, a Michigan pubbie from another district, who was planning to vote "Yes" on the bill. In order to get through, I had to find a zip code from his district and use that.
In my message, I admitted to using an "assumed" zip code and continued: "It is ... a pretty small sin compared with the lies and bilge that I have to swallow on a daily basis when I see one of your ilk interviewed on television. Despite your not being my representative, your vote will have a very big impact on me and my family." My own rep is Dingell -- how much chance do I have to influence HIS vote?
I was at least pleased to see that Ehlers ultimately voted "No."
I thought the pertinent charge with regard to elected officials was "Malfeasance in Office".
You’ve come to the correct conclusion. Look, we don’t even know where “our” candidates even come from. Think about it, how much do we even know about them, and then we’re surprised when they sell us out. It’s not a stretch to think they are all on the same side, or the vast majority of them. Calling and faxing does nothing, these people feel they are above ramifications. They need to lose that feeling.
I'm beginning to think the only way to clean up/clean out the Regress is the Clancy option. Either that, or elect a president who would have the stones to say, ''My fellow citizens, according to the Constitution, the President has the absolute power of the pardon. If any of you would care to come to D.C. and shoot one of the Regress, I assure you that you will be pardoned instantly.''
Don't you think the Regress might clean up its act a bit? Note that such action would have to take place in D.C. in order to avoid state felony charges.
In which case, the Congress would be advised to seek safety in their home state...away from Washington.
It's a win-win...
Works for me, mate. Too bad it’s just a pipe dream...
