“Silent Treatment”

Posted on 06/27/2009 9:00:30 AM PDT by DaveinOK54

The “Silent Treatment”, you know, the treatment you get from your spouse when you have really, really, screwed up and you know your in really, really deep? The calm before the storm so to speak. Let them begin to wonder what we’re thinking, because it’s apparent that they don’t give a damn when we do tell them.

`We The People’ stopped the Immigration bill a while back, but that isn’t working anymore. We melted down their phone lines yesterday with our objections to this latest, UNREAD, travesty of a bill, and they ignored us.

Maybe it’s time to ignore them and take to the streets.

As long as it gets really “Loud” at some point, I’m fine with this.

I’m in favor of a boycott in its original sense, which meant to shun and avoid.

I truly don’t know what to do when THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE what we think or want. They do not represent the people any more. Will anything we do even work???

Our elected representatives don’t represent us. They don’t listen to us. They ignore us.
We still have the power of the vote. All it takes is for all NORMAL people to get out and vote. Thinking like we do doesn’t count. Getting out to vote does.
Someone like Sarah Palin can energize normal people to get out and vote.
Normal people severely need a leader.

Or we could be passive aggressive and quit enabling them with tax money.
However, mob justice is still more justice than they’re showing us.

I suggest we quit asking them and start TELLING them.

They are our damned servents, not the other way around.

One of the big differences between yesterday and the immigration reform bill is that the immigration bill was in the Senate, which has far fewer members, and far fewer “SAFE” seats than the House (where the safe seats are legion). The House members are less subject to that kind of mass phone-fax-email storming than Senators, because the Senators have to run in the entire state. Also, the storming is more focused, that is, on only 100 members instead of the hundreds in the House, and therefore more overwhelming. I would be more likely to accept your analysis if yesterday’s disaster had occurred in the Senate.

I just went out to the street, there was no one else there.

Now what?

That time passed a long time ago while everyone sat around and did nothing.

America -- a great idea, didn't last.

This is the only thing left we can do:

We have but two choices left to us now.

1. Sit back and wait for it all to come crashing down on their heads or..

2. Actively work towards that end.

This country needs a reboot.
