Nationwide Protest against Obama’s Cap and Trade
Canada Free Press ^ | Saturday, June 27, 2009 | Sher Zieve

The time for a nationwide protest against our “lawmakers” has come—I am no longer referring to them as our representatives as they have stopped representing We-the-People. The volume of calls placed on Friday to the US Capitol switchboard and our Congressional Reps again shut it down and voice mailboxes were full. The calls placed were reported to be 10-1 AGAINST Obama‘s and Pelosi’s plan to raise energy prices to we the consumers by at least 100% and in most cases 150-200%. Despite We-the-People (now We-the-Peons) telling the House of Representatives to vote “NO”, after reportedly being strong-armed and threatened by Pelosi and Obama House members voted “YES”. And, they voted on this bill that most of them admit they DID NOT READ!

Our country, Our jobs, any freedoms and liberties gone

So, here is reality. Cap and Trade is about money and power for the US’ now-ruling elite; a power elite class that has Dictator Obama-the-Usurper at the helm of a fast-sinking US ship.

Protesting is swell.

If this passes and is signed by the president, I have just one real response:

When IS it time? Can they even tax the very air we breathe and we do nothing but hope it gets better some day?

Cap and trade: which part of ‘We can’t afford it’ doesn’t Obama understand?

Wakey wakey America: nightmare day is here. The day when the House of Representatives votes on probably the most pointless, damaging, wrong-headed and suicidally dumb piece of legislation since…

Well I was going to say Prohibition, but even Prohibition had a certain twisted logic to it. (You know: “Daddy, why does your breath smell funny? Why do you keep hitting Mom? Why’s there no money for food again this week?” etc. I’m not saying I’m persuaded by this argument but at least you can concede the Temperance movement had one).

So that must mean then that the Climate Bill - aka Waxman-Markey after the two, rather sinister-looking representatives who wrote it - being pushed through the House today is quite simply the worst piece of US legislation in living memory. And possibly beyond.

Why? Well at the cost of the biggest tax increase in American history, it will achieve precisely zilch. [...]

It’s time to think about impeachment!!

I don't know how we can. The corrupt machine will not impeach their own and they have absolute power. The revolution is coming.

A national march on Washington toward the end of the summer around Labor Day to protest taxes, socialism, loss of jobs, amnesty for illegals, abortion and enormous debt for healthcare would draw 1 to 2 million people. Leadership is needed possibly from talk radio.

Of course it's time.

Protesting does nothing. The Tea Parties were derided and panned in the MSM. Not one political change came about and there were hundreds of thousands of us that attended.

Voting? Impossible. The GOP won't take risks and the Dems have ACORN.

Anyone who isn't thinking your exact thought is deluding themselves that things really aren't that bad.

They are. In fact, they are even worse. Just because we don't have a fever and vomiting doesn't mean we aren't dying from the plague.

Keep your eye on the ball in the Senate. Yes, the House screwed up, but don't let it pass in the Senate!

Note: It is clear that these Representatives now represent ONLY Obama and Pelosi. They no longer represent their constituencies. * * * [the only people who will benefit] from this legislation are those who are invested in “alternative energies” * * *

* * * [M]ost of these “alternative energy” sources are either highly unreliable (for example wind doesn’t blow all of the time and the energy produced cannot be stored for future use) or cost far more than traditional sources. Alternative energies also tend to use more resources than traditional energy.

And who are a few who WILL benefit—at the cost of further destroying the USA?

One of these is the patently corrupt and powerful Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) who invested between $50,000-$100,000 in T. Boone Picken’s Clean Energy Fuels. Additionally, in a clear spirit of conflict of interest, Pelosi also supported California’s Prop 10 that “gives thousands of dollars in rebates to natural gas vehicle buyers, as well as spending on R&D, and supposedly cost California $9.8 billion over 30 years.” Then there’s Rep. Edward Markey (D-MA) who cosponsored the Cap and Trade bill with Henry Waxman (D-CA). Markey has invested between $51,000 and $115,000 in the “alternative energy” company * * *

Remember those names: Pelosi - Waxman - Markey. Three of the biggest crooks in D.C. Willing to screw the American taxpayer for profits. Greed, Greed, Greed.

Republicans must file ethics complaints against all three of these energy profiteers.

The time passed a long time ago, but folks were way too happy playing with their cars, boats, wide-screen TVs and other toys to notice. The purges are coming, kulak, and can do nothing but hope it gets better some day. And that you live to see that day.

America -- a great idea, didn't last.

I suggest the 9/12 March on Washington having signs that say throw the bums out.....we are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

It is time for a revolution including secession from the union.

Wouldn’t that be a clear conflict of interest by Markay and Pelosi, also Waxman if invested. How would an investigation be started? The RNC head and staff aren’t going to do this. Mike Pence? Eric Cantor?

This is BIG !

Profiteering is a clear conflict of interest. It is also illegal and violates Congressional Ethics Rules. All three of these greedy bastards are is deep Shi'ite.

Waxman is also sponsoring HR 2749 which will outlaw organic food. Also outlaws most home gardens and will mandate GM seeds -- genetically engineered seeds. He is in the pocket of Monsanto. HR 2749 also outlaws using manure and home made compost. It will put organic food stores out of business.

This Monsanto bill would decimate the only bright spot in Oregon's economy. Right now unemployment is over 12.4% based on official stats but may actually be over 16%.
