No, no rank and file leftist will pick up a gun over it, because they expect the government to do EVERYTHING for them. But they will indeed urge and agitate for the gov’t to “put down” those who dare try to escape their thumb.

You are correct and once we can internalize that fact, the better off we are going to be. It is very hard to fight an enemy that doesn’t wear a uniform.
The left looks just like the rest of us...but, they are very alien to our principles and ideologies. They do consider us the enemy and they sincerely hate us.
But as you say, they wouldn't pick up a gun over it.
And since the armed forces of this country are largely peopled by folks who come from states that would be seceeding, I don't see them doing the leftist government's dirty work.
Ironic, isn’t it? The far leftists will fight to re-establish slavery rather than abolish it. And they are left by a part black man who probably had slave trading ancestors.
Never in my wildest imagination did I think that my adult years would be spend worrying about enslavement by our government.
