Betsy McCaughey reads massive health care bills so you don't have to. New York's former lieutenant governor, now chairman of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths, fired the torpedo that ultimately sank Hillary Care. Though the sheer girth of that 1,431-page legislative juggernaut intimidated nearly everyone, Ms. McCaughey devoured it. Her resulting January 1994 New Republic article unmasked Hillary Care's previously overlooked warts and sores. The horror Ms. McCaughey revealed eventually spelled that initiative's doom.
Ms. McCaughey has done it again. In a June 19 Wall Street Journal Op-Ed column, she dissected the 615-page draft of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's Affordable Health Choices Act. The Massachusetts Democrat's bill is, essentially, the Senate's version of Obama Care. Ms. McCaughey's "light reading" is scarier than Stephen King.

Thank you so much for the ping.
I suggest everyone, including me, go to the link, and read about this...and I mean everyone.
I’ve seen Deroy on FNC, and he’s very well versed on any subject with which he’s asked to comment.
You are still the king of pings, JH2!

Must read...
That's dang scary...and it gets worse.
Interestingly, some of the damage caused by cap and tax can be undone by the next election. With the health care debacle about to be foisted upon us, the damages will probably be permanent. With cap and trade, it doesn’t actually start until 2012, by which time the electorate can elect a new congress, which would need to be 2/3 republican to override the president’s veto against the new congress’s override of cap and trade. Not a very likely outcome, but possible. With Health care, it will be damaged beyond repair before the republicans can get a 2/3’s majority in both houses, particularly the senate.
In the end, its almost sweet irony in that most of the youth of this country wanted Obama, without any consideration of who would be paying for all the deficit spending. I guess that should be a rallying cry for the new republican party to garner the youth vote.
And a great big second from the Waspman!!!
A drive-by “Hey, you!” to the Waspman!
It’s so good to “see” you! ;o)
Thanks for the ping!
