The house just passed the biggest tax on the Nation in the history of the nation. Narrowly passed by 219 to 212.
All the Democratic party callers on CSPAN were expressing disgust for their party about Cap and Tax. About Pelosi forbidding Republican amendments. About limiting Debate to three hours. About the rush to pass the bill.
Nancy Pelosi and her family will profit handsomely from this bill.
A dozen congressmen have sold their souls to vote for this Cap and Tax bill.
ACORN is changing it's name.
Chris Dodd has announce that the "powers that be" do not want him to pursue corruption charges against ACORN.
Chris Dodd's wife will probably go to jail for corruption.
ObamaCare is on the ropes in Congress.
Obama's informercial with ABC was a big flop.
Obama's buddies in Iran are now talking about executing demonstrators.
How very convenient for Obama for Jackson to die right now. His death is swamping the news. These other stories are put into the far background. Even Sean Hannity is paying more attention to Jackson than he is to the negative Obama stories.
I am not a conspiracy type of guy, but I am left wondering. Dead fish Rahm from Chicago did not get his name by accident.
Ping
So Chris Dodd and John Conyers were investigating ACORN?
Are you saying Michael Jackson’s death kept you from being on the phone today?
I hope the maggots in the “media” refer to this massive tax increase as being “historic.” The people living in this country seem to be into “historic” these days.
Only Dodd can pursue charges against ACORN, aka The New Stasi?
Well, at least Clinton was smart enough to make his own news during each bimbo eruption or criminal scandal that arose from his and Hillary’s treason and infidelity.
Obama does not have the guts to lob a few cruise missles at Muslim targets — after all, he is still counting on their support for elections in 2010 and 2012.....
Turn over the Congress in 2012 and repeal this piece of shit.
Those historic lovers are going to cause the USA to be History if this crap continues.
This years, I expect the Illegal Amnesty bill to pass, and Health Crime bill to pass and we won't be able to do a damn thing about it.
Well, hold your skepticism until the Senate vote.
If that is overrun by news of another celebrity death that overshadows the vote, then we need to start a “Chicagocide” list.
That being said, while I doubt that MJ was killed by politicians, they are certainly making the most of this opportunity. I don't doubt that there has been a conscious decision on the part of the Democrat leadership to take advantage of the Jackson news blackout to push cap and tax through as quickly as possible.
At least for now, I have faith that it will die in the Senate.
>> His death is swamping the news.
The implication the media would otherwise be exposing DC?
>> It is all just a coincidence. Right?
Yes.
You’re right. And so is Rush. Elections DO have consequences.
Exactly. This orgy of absorption in another bizarre show business death is at best a sign of a vulgarized society - at worst a deliberate distraction.
I notice that Fox - which seems to have wall to wall coverage - lost about 600,000 prime time viewers to its competitors. My wife and I were among the losses. We turned off Fox and watched old Poirot mysteries.
I turned off Fox to watch CSPAN. I am still on watching CSPAN.
LOL!! I needed that!!
