No mention of party in title, subtitle, first sentence, or first paragraph. Therefore its a democrat.

NOw lets look at when its a Republican:

"Sen. Ensign Resigns GOP Leadership Post After Admitting Affair

The Republican senator who went public a day earlier about an extramarital affair has resigned his GOP leadership post on Wednesday.

Sen. John Ensign, R -Nev., stepped down as chairman of the Republican Policy Committee, the fourth-ranking GOP position in the Senate, after holding a brief news conference Tuesday to come clean about his affair with a former aide. He is not expected to resign from the Senate."

--------------------------------

Compare to these I've been collecting for a while for when its a democrat:

No mention of political party in title, subtitle, first sentence, or first paragraph

No mention of political party in title, subtitle, first sentence, or first paragraph

No mention of political party in title, subtitle, first sentence, or first paragraph

No mention of political party in title, subtitle, first sentence, or first paragraph

The Speaker of the House used to be the most powerful man in Texas politics, wielding much more actual power than the governor.

These guys used to be the epitome of the hard drinking backroom politicians. Bob Bullock was a raging alcoholic when he was Speaker. The stories of his escapades when he got rolling were epic around the capital.

That's so right, but he saw the light eventually:

"He stopped drinking in 1981 and remained active with Alcoholics Anonymous for the remainder of his life. Bullock died in Austin of cancer and is interred there at the Texas State Cemetery."

I though Noah Beery junior was dead. Who knew he was down in Texas driving drunk? Did he go into politics after the Rockford files went off the air?
