We've been on the hunt in Buenos Aires, Argentina and found the bar where Governor Mark Sanford brought his mistress -- so how do you say PDA in Spanish?
Carlos Soto, the owner of Guido's Bar, says he's seen Sanford and Maria Belen Chapur there several times over the last few months -- most recently last week.
Soto says they were "all over each other" last week in his bar, "kissing, holding hands and drinking wine."
Soto was impressed with Maria, saying she has "un cuerpazo'" -- translation: a banging body.
Soto also said Maria has green eyes and dirty blonde hair.
I hear she is fetching...with that name she is Maronite descent is my guess
like my Brasilian ex-wife
I know the DNA well...lol...good luck
that chick doesn’t look 43...no es possible
and he should have....I am addicted to beautiful women but I am faithful to my wife and all our children...a basketball squad worth
it takes character...and discipline
not to mention just flaking out and disappearing
what a preener...
we stand for something and being true to wife and family is core...so what if the Dems get away with it in the media, they don’t get away with it to us..
oh well, I’m sick of GOP fools
there was a pic here recently of the real Mexican blackbird..did you post it?
anyhow...Argentinians are more like Italians than Mexicans
Jenny apparently wants him back........despite everything.
She might be figuring the mistress is more at fault than hubby. That happens with powerful men.
..but they do have 4 children
Maybe he can concentrate on his family now that he's lost everything else....including the Argentine chick.
“Argentinians are more like Italians than Mexicans”
I don’t know why U.S. of A. compares those south of the boarder with Mexican types. Not true. Mexico is Mexico. Period. Every country is unique. Panamanian culture and Mexican culture have nothing in common and I do mean nothing Period!!! (Thankgoodness.)
Argentineans are not Argentineans, and this is one of the problems with Argentina. The European Argentineans are very nationalist to their European roots. Therefore, they are never “Argentineans.”...They are German and whatever else, but never “Argentineans.”
I spent a big part of two decades all over Latin America and Carib Basin....
mostly Colombia, Venezuela, Guat, Nica, and Brasil and Dom Rep
you’re quite right...I loved Colombia most probably..beautiful varied place but sad hard history..the pure blood high Spanish women there are exquisite
but I have a Brasilian ex-wife and two daughters with me to prove my love affair with South America
never cared so much for Mexico to be frank...not compared with points further south....
A lot of Germanic blood in Argentina too.
yep....southern Brasil, Chile and Paraguay too
I think german may be the largest ethnic group in Chile
I doubt he'll ever be over it. This "relationship" (if you believe all the accounts thus far) started some 8 years ago, and grew into at least a very strong emotional attachment, that culminated in the "affair" part having started a year ago (according to Sanford).
Then 5 months after his wife having learned of the affair and giving Sanford time to decide whether or not he wanted to salvage his marriage, I'd say she had him leave because she determined he wasn't ready to end the affair...and what does he do right after she has him leave, according to what's come out this afternoon, he buys a round-trip fare to BA departing on 06-18 and returning on 06-28...sounds to me he is so smitten with Ms. Maria and it would not surprise me at all to learn that the marriage does not work on and Mr. Sanford opts to move to Argentina.
Thank you, wardaddy.
Aside from crossing the boarder a few times from San Diego years ago, I did spend a few days in Mexico City years ago. I will be honest. There is nothing about Mexican culture I like to include their food and I am not a picky eater.
I love Colombia. Believe it not, I was there years ago in Medellin at that time not knowing its danger (mafia). I was just a tourist with several other folks. I had a wonderful time purchasing goodies. I have a pair of authentic conquistador brass stirrups which I display on my wall.
I have never been to Brazil.
Nothing in my statement condoned his actions or her lack of indignation. It seems that people often interject their emotions into a post which clouds their ability to read and understand the poster’s view. Everyone is guilty of this.
Regarding the assertion that he disregarded his family’s privacy. The disregard was on the part of whomever made his disappearance public. Wonder who that was....Mrs. Sanford has asked for the families privacy, but none has been given. If it weren’t for Michael Jackson’s demise, this would be the lead story.
I don’t for one minute believe that not one soul knew where he was. Funny how the media knew exactly which bar he frequented in Argentina.
According to those that study sexual nature, when someone is so strongly attracked it becomes an obsession. Obsessions are very hard to break. I hate to reference Geraldo Rivera, but having first hand experience he related it to a sort of “madness”.
I believe the boys ages are relevent, because it gives an idea how they will handle it.
“We conservatives” do hold our leaders to a higher standard. And as I stated at the beginning, I do not condone what he did. However, I realize that those leaders are not perfect anymore than I, and that they have made and will make mistakes. His record of great service to his state should not be wiped out by a mistake. I wished he would have divorced her before this happened. Of course, he would have been excoritated for that too. While this mistake was awful, it was not murder.
You mention John McCain. Yes he left his wife. Where were the lies?
BTW, were you one of the conservatives who stayed home on election day last November?
“...interject their emotions into a post which clouds their ability to read and understand the poster’s view.”
Spoken like a professional.
Mr. Sanford is a governor. A high ranking official. Politically, he holds the highest office in his state. His responsibilities impact quite a number of Americans. Yet, he lied about his “hike”. The taxpayers funded his sexual liaisons(naturally Gov. Sanford promises to pay us back AFTER being caught in lies), he disregarded his sacred vows, and placed his family in the middle of a hailstorm as a result of his behavior.
Sell victim-hood to someone else. There would be no story had Gov. Sanford lived a life of integrity and honor. There would be no cover story had he been at home with his family. There would be no public outcry, no liberals crying, “Hypocrite!”, no reporters at his door. It is not the medias fault nor his security and staff. Governor Sanford alone is to blame. No one held a gun to his head, dragged him to that woman’s bed, and force him to maintain a sexual relationship with the female involved. Gov. Sanford made a decision.
“Obsessions” Big deal. If the governor can’t control his sexual appetite, run a bar, but not the state of S.C.
Whether Gov. Sanford’s boys are 2 or 22, they will have to deal with peers(especially those with liberal parents)whom will harass them.
“His record of great service...”
You mean the one that involved taxpayer money to finance his sexual liaisons? Did you know about this? If not, how do you know there weren’t other incidents of impropriety or misuse of power? If you would like to personally finance his trips, lodgings, meals, and incidentals while Gov. Sanford has sexual relations with that woman, by all means. Taxpayers are not responsible for us salacious activities.
He admitted to an adulterous affair. That is a lie. Are you suggesting John McCain told his former wife, “Honey, while I’m gone I’ll be having sexual relations with another woman. See you when I get back. Love you. Bye.”?
Did any conservative stay home last November? I don’t believe you can call yourself a conservative and not vote during a presidential election.
“Spoken like a true professional.” What’s that supposed to mean? I’m well-spoken, articulate, and truthful, just as you are. Is there a problem?
I am not “peddling” victimhood. Please reread the post and think about it before jumping.
I pointed out that none of us are without some kind of sin. But I could be wrong about you.
The record of service stands for itself. He should pay back every penny that was used for the affair. The statement that I don’t know if there were any other incidents or misuses is correct. However, by the same means, neither do you. Your suggestion that I pay for his affair if I wish to do so is unwarranted, childish, and silly, since I have repeatedly said that I don’t condone the affair. I thought I was having a civil discussion, but you have taken it in a whole new direction. I only discuss issues with civil people.
You are entitled to your opinions, but there were plenty of conservatives that said they stayed home. Conservatives come in degrees. Some might be strongly conservative, while others not. So can I, please, ask who you voted for?
Have a good day!
“So can I, please, ask who you voted for?”
In your previous posts you did not ask whom I voted for? I believe your presuppositions are showing.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
It’s elementary. Well, it should be.
My “Spoken...” reply was in response to this “observation”:
“It seems that people often interject their emotions which clouds there ability to read and understand the poster’s view”
It is ironic that you wish to “interject” this observation about others, which incidentally is about as insightful as a blind lemon, in suggesting that I failed to read and understand your comments. It reveals your ignorance.
“...jumping”?
You can hardly describe my response as “jumping”. You went on and on about people knowing about the governors covert exit. Now, why in the cosmos would you point that obvious fact out, along with your observations about sexual “obsessions” without suggestion that the poor governor has a “serious” problem. My comments concerning his culpability is hardly “jumping”.
“...record of service stands for itself.”
Indeed.
Our sinful nature has absolutely nothing to do with the governors indiscretions. We don’t write/pass policy. We do not pass legislation which effects every American. As a matter of fact, whom I voted for is irrelevant in this particular thread, which is about a governor whom commented a number of offenses against his family as well as the tax payer.
“Your suggestion that I pay for his affair if I wish to do so is unwarranted, childish, and silly...”
I thought you’d feel that way. You see, it is always rather convenient for individuals such as yourselves to defend a public official whom betrayed the trust of his constituents as well as his family so long as you are not involved in the mess. But, when pressed to back up your position by supporting his “obsessions” personally; after all, he’s only human, you start pointing fingers and accusing those whom disagree with you to be “childish” and “silly”.
“...there were plenty of conservatives.”
That’s easy enough. Who? Name them, or site a reliable source proving as much? It’s always convenient and easy to through those “plenty of conservative” claims around.
Everyone has presuppositions, including you. So what? I asked a question now, and you don’t feel like answering it for whatever reason. That I didn’t ask the question before is not germaine.
As I stated previously, I only engage in civil discussions. Since you are no longer able to do so, I bid you a good life and a fantastic Fourth of July.
