The story is that Lee was a controlling and “traditional” husband, and wanted a stay at home wife while her career was taking off.

He was travelling, so he asked his good friend Ryan O’Neal to look after her.
And he did.

Cost him an arm and a leg.

But it was WORTH IT.

You were my first poster-girl back in late ‘70.

It was a long, sad goodbye...Way, way too young...but she was loved...and if you’ve really, truly been loved, you’ve lived a full lifetime. That’s what I believe.

No question she was an icon of the 70s. As much as we are mourning Farrah, we are also mourning the loss of our youth. Especially as we begin to realize that we aren’t all that much younger than she was.

Very true! All the stars we grew up with -- Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Farrah Fawcett, Lee Majors, Robin Williams (LOVED Mork!), Henry Winkler -- they're all aging and will soon be gone.

Search is your friend. This is app. the 30th posting of her passing....

Let me guess, you volunteered to be the hall monitor in school.
You are the head of both your neighborhood watch, and your home-owner's association.
Any activity that you can practice that will result in the euphoric feeling of control over others is cool with you.

This is a memorial thread for a beautiful woman who was taken before her time, and you are playing the posting police.

Piss off.

RIP Farah

On a side note can’t news people spell things correctly anymore. The prints says she was given last rights I could be wrong but shouldn’t it be spelled rites?

That would be “rites.” Typical reporter, knows nothing of the strange, mysterious world of religion.

Saw the documentary of Farrah fighting cancer not too long ago....She apparently got close to the Lord. Prayers for her immediate family.

All three angels had cancer, Jackson and Smith had breast cancer, but were able to beat it. I wish that Farrah had triumphed over her cancer as well. I saw the program about her treatment and it was obvious that the poor woman suffered a lot. May she now rest in peace.

As much as we are mourning Farrah, we are also mourning the loss of our youth.

That's the explanation I've been looking for today. Her death is upsetting me more than it should, and I believe you have provided the reason.

You nailed it. I was a teen in the 70’s and watched Charlie’s Angels religiously (and Starsky and Hutch) Her passing does signify a certain loss of youth.

Oh my God, I haven’t laughed that hard in a month. Do you mind if I quote you when I see the posting police? Your reply is classic!

Oh that is just poetry in posting.

You are a Picasso of the response to jerk offs and this is your master piece.
