Last week I wrote to Senator Boxer and told her only one short sentence - "What you did to the general was very disrespectful". I received back the following email:
Dear xxxxxxxxxxx:
Thank you for contacting me regarding the recent Senate hearing with Brigadier General Michael Walsh. I appreciate hearing from you on this matter.
Shortly after the hearing, I called General Walsh, and we had a friendly and productive conversation. We expressed our respect for one another and our determination to work together to protect our nation and communities from natural disasters.
Thank you again for writing to me. Please feel free to contact me in the future about this or any other issue of concern to you.
Barbara Boxer United States Senator
I wonder if the good general would be willing to confirm that?
In other words, “F. You!”
Canned crap still smells...
She could care less.
I’m a Senator and you’re not.......!
Sorry, but I only saw/heard respect from the good general and NOTHING but distain from you, Babs.
What was supposedly said in private means NOTHING!
She could?
Email her in reply”
“Thanks, Ma’am!”
And I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I’ll sell you.
Dear MS. BOXER: Live up to the dignity your office implies (if you can). Apologize to the general in person on live TV. And, BTW, it should be “each other,” not “one another.”
“protect our nation and our communities from NATURAL disasters....”
Natural disasters? What the hell does that mean?
What about the North Korean missile threat?
What about Iran and their nuclear program?
What about the Chinese military buildup?
What about Al-Queda?
What about the Russians?
What about Hugo Chavez?
What about.....
She emailed the same exact statement that was given to the press. This email didn’t come from her, it was some lacky getting paid to deal with the people that she doesn’t want to deal with.
And this was with no contact with him or the White House

Dear Friend,
Last week, I announced United We Serve a nationwide call to service challenging you and all Americans to volunteer this summer and be part of building a new foundation for America.
And when I say all, I mean everyone young and old, from every background, all across the country. We need individuals, community organizations, corporations, foundations, and our government to be part of this effort.
Today, for the official kick off of United We Serve, members of my administration have fanned out across America to participate in service events and encourage all Americans to join them.
The First Lady is rolling up her sleeves and getting to work too. But before she headed out today, she asked me to share this message with you.
Our nation faces some of the greatest challenges it has in generations and we know its going to take a lot of hard work to get us back on track.
While Michelle and I are calling on every American to participate in United We Serve, the call to service doesnt end this fall. We need to stay involved in our towns and communities for a long time to come. After all, Americas new foundation will be built one neighborhood at a time and that starts with you.
Thank you,
President Barack Obama

I bet!
Being a liberal means never having to say I’m sorry.
I got the same response from her.
“Dignity” and “Senator” these days have become pretty much mutually exclusive terms.
“We expressed our respect for one another and our determination to work together to protect our nation and communities from natural disasters.”
NATURAL disaster?!
Instead of writing Dear Senator or Dear Ms. Boxer, make sure all your emails are addressed to Dear Ma’am.
