The claim was posted on the Hitman PR blog of Allen S Miller, who claims to represent Fawcett and her business partner Greg Lott.
"Farrah is in intensive care and is supported by Catholic priests consistent with her faith," Miller wrote.
"I have reports that Farrah has received last rights.
"It is time now to make contact with your god and say a prayer."
The news comes only days after long-time on-off partner Ryan O'Neal told US TV they planned to marry.
"I've asked her to marry me, again, and she's agreed," an emotional O'Neal told veteran reporter Barbara Walters in excerpts of the interview on the US ABC News website.

Prayers going out..........
I feel horrible for her. I hope her death is peaceful and she doesn’t suffer any pain. Cancer is a horrible, horrible disease
When I was in Nam, she was one of the prominent pinup posters on our basecamp hooch wall. Damn she was cute. Prayers.
Just awful. Prayers for Farrah tonight.
She graduated from my high school.
Yer brush with greatness.
By the time there was a poster of Farah Fawcett, the Vietnam War was over for four years.Want to check your memory bank on that one?
She was well before my time. I know people who went to school with her and dated her.
What a set of teeth! Prayers for her.
Poor Farrah. If those reports were true, Ryan O Neal’s marriage proposal was a class act on his part.
I will always remember her being the first beauty I ever saw on a pin-up poster when I was young! Boy, where did time go??
Prayers up!
You’re right! Being 62 isn’t all the fun it’s cracked up to be. Maybe it was Raquel Welch. Anyway, I do remember the Farah poster, and she was real cute!
Thanks for the reality check! :-)
It was the hair-do of the century. Every woman in America tried to imitate that hair. Sad for her family, especially her son who is in jail. Hope he gets his life together for her sake.
Prayers going up! God bless her.
I know two long term couples who did deathbed marriages. It’s a beautiful act.
Sorry to hear about her son. I didn’t know. I hope he gets his life together too.
