When I was in Nam, she was one of the prominent pinup posters on our basecamp hooch wall. Damn she was cute. Prayers.

Poor Farrah. If those reports were true, Ryan O Neal’s marriage proposal was a class act on his part.

I’m sorry for the pain she’s had to endure with this cancer. She’s had a rough few years. May God comfort her in her final hours.
Mela Murphy, Farrah’s friend and hairdresser of 18 years, and close pal and fellow actress Alana Stewart were also said to be with Fawcett.
“There was a moment last week when she was supposed to be released and was going home,” a source close to Fawcett told People.com. “But things changed.”

Only two days after Farrah Fawcett was hospitalized and then released, OK! has learned that the actress is once again under medical supervision as her condition worsens.
Around 9pm PT on Wednesday, Farrah was moved from her West Hollywood home to a nearby hospital. Sources tell OK! that the Charlie’s Angels star’s long-time love, Ryan O’Neal, and her best friend, actress Alana Stewart, have joined her there.

My dear friends, we are gathered here in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ who is present among us. As the gospels relate, the sick came to him for healing; moreover, he loves us so much that he died for our sake. Through the apostle James, he commanded us: “Are there any who are sick among you? Let them send for the priests of the Church, and let the priests pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick persons, and the Lord will raise them up; and if they have committed any sins, their sins will be forgiven them.”
Let us therefore commend our sick sister Farrah to the grace and power of Christ, that he may save her and raise her up.
I just hope that her passing will not be turned into some degenerate circus with bootleg pictures in the Globe of her dying etc. etc.
She is owed a quiet passing.

As an aside, “last rites” is an old misnomer. It’s called “Anointing of the Sick” and is available even when death is not expected.
The kids have dealt with drug abuse, time in prison, and O'Neal only recently was involved in a shoot-out with his son (having busted his son's front teeth in a few years ago).
I hope they are truly drawing close to God at this time because their lives haven't been what I would call stellar. They really should have married years ago and provide stability for those kids. Oh, well. That's Hollywood.
