Just like they “fear” McCain, eh?

I don’t recall McCain getting bad press until he was nominated. Maybe your recollection is different?

No, my recollection is the same.

The media fawned over McCain until he got nominated...and Palin joined the ticket.

I thought the media was in bed with RINOs and Democrats, but I didn’t mean it literally!

My recollection is different.

When McCain ran in 2000, there were nasty questions about his sanity after having been a POW, and some dirty rumors about his adopted daughter being the result of an affair with an African American woman.

There were comments about his temper, too.

I don't think that "politicians" have a lock on status. To some women, driving a fancy car imparts status, at least relative to other men that can't even afford that.

Politicians who stray make the news because they have recognizable names and because there are political consequences to their actions. I doubt very much that politicians have affairs at a much higher rate than other men.

The point is that the liberal media uses their power to influence the political process. McCain was very low on my list of potential candidates but he was selected by the media to be the GOP nominee for the 2008 election. He was the candidate that the media decided would be easiest to defeat at the general election.

The media may have attacked McCain during a prior election, but that was to serve their purposes at the time.

I’d much rather have had Paul on the ticket [in `08] (in either slot: Pr or VP) than McCain.

It has been said before, and is becoming increasingly obvious, that there is little difference in action between the democrat and republican party politicians [as a whole]... neither party is for justice, how else can you explain that Murtha has not been tried for treason, or that Frank has not been kicked out for his corruption (and obvious involvement with Fannie and Freddie).
