The point is that the liberal media uses their power to influence the political process. McCain was very low on my list of potential candidates but he was selected by the media to be the GOP nominee for the 2008 election. He was the candidate that the media decided would be easiest to defeat at the general election.
The media may have attacked McCain during a prior election, but that was to serve their purposes at the time.
I’d much rather have had Paul on the ticket [in `08] (in either slot: Pr or VP) than McCain.
It has been said before, and is becoming increasingly obvious, that there is little difference in action between the democrat and republican party politicians [as a whole]... neither party is for justice, how else can you explain that Murtha has not been tried for treason, or that Frank has not been kicked out for his corruption (and obvious involvement with Fannie and Freddie).
