A former Romney administration public safety czar and Bay State police chief is scrambling to save his reputation after he was caught in an embarrassing scandal over an affair with a reporter covering him in his new post as Milwaukees top cop.
Edward A. Flynn, who was Springfield police commissioner before becoming Milwaukees police chief in January 2008, was forced to publicly acknowledge the painful truth of the illicit tryst after intimate e-mail exchanges with the journalist surfaced and were published in a Brew City newspaper.
The married reporter, Jessica McBride, 39, a college journalism lecturer and freelancer, and Flynn, 61, who is also married, are reportedly no longer an item.

Big Bump!
I don’t even look; until they put Bill Clinton in jail for rape.
I bet Romney knew Mark Sanford. I bet Romney knew Bill Clinton.
The headline uses the words "Romney" and "czar" to create sensation.

Another one?
“Edward A. Flynn, who was Springfield police commissioner”
He must have held that post before Chief Clancy Wiggum.
I’m no Romney fan, but this is getting ridiculous.
That said, I would like to ask a tangential question:
Why do so many (male) politicans seem to have a problem with marital fidelity, including those who publicly endorse it?
I suggest the following possible reasons, or combinations of reasons:
1. Infidelity is wide spread, and can tempt even the Henry Hydes of this world
2. The same qualities that make someone competitive in the field of politics make the politicians more susceptible.
3. The same qualities that make someone competitive in the field of politics make the politicians more likely to be a sociopath.
4.Some of talented women hunt down athletes, others go for movie stars, others still want to land a man with political power.
5. Competitive people like politicians have a sub-conscious desire to place themselves at risk to see if they can beat it.
6. Two words: Original Sin.
LOL, that's a reach.
Not guilty.
7. Their wives become bitches once they achieve stature and power, and they realize they have their husbands over a barrel given the political pressure to keep up a charade.
Why do so many males seem to have a problem with marital fidelity
My guess is that males are simply wired that way (to go for attractive women). Whereas women are wired to go after high status males. Low status males don't get the same opportunities, because females tend to go for guys higher on the totem pole. Monogamy may simply go against human nature.

Also Mitt Romney's business partner's gardener once had an affair.
Cynical as it may sound, a lifetime commitment advantages an attractive female much more than a high status male. The high status male can get more powerful with time, whereas the attractive female can only get older. This is why many women prefer much older men - the idea is that much older men are less likely to get tired of their physical appearance in the time they have left.
lotsa of morons joining Idiots Inc. who house such luminaries as Gary Hart, Mark Sanford, and now these two. Both aren’t worth the paper to be written on.
They fear Romney.
