Which is not what I was saying. I’m saying the something entirely different
WHY???
If Palin ran for local dogcatcher, I’d do everything I could to help. If she runs for national office in 2012, I will personally do everything I physically can to help her campaign. And I know dozens of other women who feel the same way (I’m in my late 20s and she is extremely popular among my girlfriends.)
I can’t imagine there being any skeletons in her closet that the press hasn’t already dug up.
Watch out... The same few haters will bash you non-stop for even mentioning Mitt. DUCK!!!
I think they complement each other well.
Seems like a strong ticket (of course we’d have to find out more about Cheney but as of now she seems to be a strong INDEPENDENT conservative)
Those women also aren’t conservative - Bush and Obama aren’t either...
Most women are petty and run from the truth when it’s looking back at them - hence the fear of conservatives
Howie Carr just had a SC political insider on his show [I didn’t catch the name] who said a liberal Republican state senator named Knotts, who dislikes Sanford and has been leading the attack against him, is an ex-cop. He didn’t delineate exactly how Knotts found out Sanford was out of state/country, but Knotts is definitely the outer. Fwiw.
And to top it off, I just found out that a school hood friend is getting a divorce due to issues with her hubby sneakin around....
Not the gay daughter.
That’s terrific!
We all need to hear good news like that.
May you live to see your children’s children, to the fourth generation!
Palin’s the one!
I think a Palin/Jindal ticket would be great. Plenty of “diversity” there!
Feel exactly the same way! I have never seen a candidate vetted like she was — shame the media didn’t do the same for Obama.
Sorry to hear that....
“now serve out your term and please go away”
Surely you must be joking.
>> Palins the one!

I don’t care if one is blue and the other is light green they are both smart as a whip conservatives who have produced actually tangible results in their states and rallied against the political status quo and political machinery in their and the opposition’s parties. BO did nothing but suck up and become a tool of the corrupt Chicago political system.
Palin/Jindall Jindall/Palin in 2012. Heck they could switch places every year once elected and it would be awesome!
Yes but Bill Clinton wasn’t stoopid enough to fly off solo to foreign countries to entertain affairs.
Ugh...why Ensign? Why Sanford? If a Republican has to go down in flames, why can’t it be Charlie Crist and Lindsey Graham being spotted by the press cavorting on a boat with Thai ladyboys or something?
Well...he did get it delayed for 30 min. Only so much a red tie guy can do!
Have we seen a pic of guvs mistake, yet?
Jake Knotts isn’t a liberal. He’s the longtime former sheriff of Lexington County, SC (the western suburbs of Columbia, the state capital) who, after he left his sheriff-for-life gig, ran for State Senate from Lexington County and won handily. He is a fairly conservative Republican, but like most of the rest of the General Assembly in SC, he loves him some pork (and I don’t mean barbeque).
It’s hard to overstate the arrogance and entitlement of the General Assembly in South Carolina. They still meddle in local affairs to an extent I’ve never seen in the other states I’ve lived in (VA and NC). Up until the 1970s, they effectively held veto power over many functions of local government until a “Home Rule” act was finally passed that freed cities and counties from their bonds. Even so, there are still hundreds of special districts, things like water districts, fire districts, park districts, etc., whose boards are appointed not by localities, but by the state representatives and senators for that area. The executive branch in SC is very weak compared to most other states.
The Republican bigwigs in the General Assembly don’t like Sanford. He’s fought them as hard as he could on pork-barrel spending since he took office. He’s gone over their heads to the people several times to put pressure on them. Right now, I’ll bet, if you drive by the corner of Assembly and Gervais where the Statehouse is, you can hear the sound of the knives being sharpened. This is going to be their payback.
