So this year is like any other year. We just don’t know. Acting as if we do, is just juvenile

Now you are just lying, or terribly misinformed. Even your own beloved CDC numbers show very different numbers than has been in years past. Why don't you take a look at some of the latest MMWR graphs and charts and look at the "ramp up" in September. Show me a year it has ever looked like that.

Now you are just lying,...

Despite elevated numbers, we do not know what this influenza season has in store for us.  I remember the panic that was exhibited earlier this year.  People were predicting many deaths by May, June, or July, because of the rapid spread of this influenza.  Did that happen?  Will it happen now?  The CDC doesn't know.  You don't know.  I don't know.  At least I am admitting that I don't know.  So which one of us is lying?

...or terribly misinformed.

You've used that line on me before.  Once again, the juvenality springs forth.  Despite elevated numbers, we are not seeing widespread deaths.  We are seeing deaths.  We have always seen deaths from influenza.  We will  continue to see deaths form influenza this year, and on into the future years.  It's a fact of life.

Even your own beloved CDC numbers show very different numbers than has been in years past.

I have major quibbles with the CD and the NIH.  So this is just one more false conclusion you have jumped to.

Yes, the CDC does show elevated numbers for this time of the year.  What does that portend for the future?  We don't know.  The H1N1 bounced around this nation since April.  Those who contracted it earlier and lived, are probably not in danger of contracting it again and having a real bad case of it.  So the numbers may flatten out quickly.  They may not.  They may go up considerably (which would be my guess), but the numbers go up every year.

Why don't you take a look at some of the latest MMWR graphs and charts and look at the "ramp up" in September. Show me a year it has ever looked like that.

The base line question is this.  Will more people die this year than in previous years?  The mortality rate so far from this influenza is not terror inducing.  So the numbers are up.  Are 75% of the infected dying?  How about 25%?  How about evern 0.05%?

That's the important statistic.

And then there's the issue of how many thousands out there contracted H1N1 and didn't even bother to go to the hospital before they got well and went back to their normal routine?
