Yes, of course, how silly of me. We have a current dictator whose origins are unknown, a disciple of American terrorists and Marxist Revolutionaries, raised by a Mohammadan and taught at one of their schools on foreign soil, annointed and coronated by the media, now undermining our government and institutions every moment of the day, but that’s not important. Gov. Sanford failed to honor the high holy day of Father’s Day, a greeting-card created holiday. He must be lynched.

Baloney. They’ve all got it coming according to the lynch mob. Being a Conservative means its open season 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No bag limit, no holds barred, no one off limits. Family, friends, neighbors, you name it. They all must be destroyed.

in the spirit of openness, i voted for Romney in the primary only because Fred Thompson had already dropped out, but i voted FOR McCain bc of Sarah Palin. so you can’t use me as evidence of anything. i am not bashing anyone, i am skeptical of Sanford because i have a healthy skepticism of politician’s generally and i find his behavior in this regard ODD at best.

I must be losing my touch being able to size people up. I’ve been impressed with him. Something like this WILL dash all WH hopes, yes, while all of O’s weirdness and rumored exploits seemed to just fade away and even endear him to almost half the country.
you are spouting quite a bit of ad hominem on this thread. those questioning sanford’s behavior aren’t attacking fellow freepers, yet you are. best rein yourself in, seems to me.

I think that is happening quicker than most realize. It will be a long, difficult and dangerous (perhaps even bloody) path through the wilderness... if we make it at all. I wouldn’t blame Sanford, Bush and the rest if they gave every this Davy Crockett exit “you can go to he11, I’m going to Texas. I am thinking of Alaska, more room, more remote and easier to defend.... Plus any action against it would make Canada and Russia nervous.

I can’t even figure out what the story is supposed to be implying. It throws facts out and leaves us to make the conclusion that something illicit is going on: an affair? drugs? child porn ring? (find out in Michael Moore’s next movie)
No. The guy needed some alone time. He told his staff where he was in case of emergency. I’m not seeing the problem.
My fiancee and me go on at least one vacation per year alone to clear our head. It does wonders for the soul.
How do you know he “abandoned” his kids? How do you know nobody knew where he was? How do you know that other governors haven’t disappeared?
Our governor has been cited in other states regularly, and we only know about it if some local paper writes about it whereever he is, because he isn’t telling anybody here where he’s going.
