Good grief. No doubt the biggest ass on this site...trolls just for reaction.
You might be able to fake the blood, but no way to fake the absolute terror in her eyes...may God be with her

It's too bad the Zoroastrians don't accept converts... there are millions of Iranians who want to get back to their own religion. If large numbers of Iranians want to be Zoroastrian, then they will be Zoroastrian. If the old Zoroastrian community does not choose to accept them, they will form a new Zoroastrian community.

There have been a few asking about improvised stuff.
It is apparent these young folks have had no exposure to weaponry for the past thirty years. God bless them. If our people had one tenth the courage, we wouldn't have the garbage in DC that we have.

This reflects on the point that Ayatollah Sistani in Iraq always made.
He was always strongly opposed to the idea of an Islamic Republic because when the public gets fed up with the state they identify it with the religion, and the religion gets discredited in the eyes of the public.
The current regime is actively discrediting Islam (in the Shia world anyway) for generations.

In agreement, hang the Mullah’s and dance around their corpses. What a backward way of living, and the rope will be a great equalizer and a period on their role in history.

Parsees. This is for people who don't understand the terminology -- I figured it out for myself. Parsees would be pronounced like "Pairsees" 'P' and 'F' are similar consonants, so... "Farsi" pronounced "Fairsi" is similar to "Pairsee". "Persia" pronounced in the european fashion is "Pairsia". Therefore, "Pairsees" are Persians. I just think it's interesting that it all ties together and makes sense.

People should remember that native Persians are WHITE. When I see someone who is clearly white, yet seems vaguely arab, I instantly think Iranian.

But the question is: Who is worse, the Shah or the current regime?

Most Iranians love Reza Pahlavi (the son). By all outward appearances he is not like his father. He is western trained and is a western ally which is important these days since jimmuh killed that. In fact, what we are witnessing today throughout the Middle East is the result of the Carter administration.

Thanks Ernest. Sounds perfect to me. But talk is cheap. I want to see the mullahs’ heads paraded on poles.

Sure beats the snot outta Death to America which used to be the only one they knew. Who says you cant teach an old population a new chant? Most of the population isn't old enough to even remember those days. And many (okay, some -- I don't have numbers) who do regret those days; even among those who supported the revolution. So I hear.

I think there's more than one way to read humblegunner's remark. A clarification would help. Which netizens?

Yeah, probably just us “old Americans” who remember the hostages and those Muzzies chanting in front of the old embassy. The current uprising seems long overdue to me, I just wish our Dear Leader seemed like he wanted to throw a little support their way. We get blamed for meddling whether we are or not, so why not just meddle?

Reza is willing to go back nand run Iran as a constitutional monarchy. I believe he has stated he is not.
