President Obama harshly condemned the Iranian crackdown against demonstrations on Tuesday, declaring the rest of the world “appalled and outraged” and dismissing what he called “patently false and absurd” accusations that the United States instigated the protests.
In his sharpest and most expansive comments on the crisis in Tehran since the June 12 elections that the opposition called rigged, Mr. Obama deplored the violence that has killed some protesters, including a young woman whose death was captured on a video that has been played around the world.
“While this loss is raw and painful,” the president said, “we also know this: those who stand up for justice are always on the right side of history.”

His statements were not harsh — he called what is happening in Iran a DEBATE. How is that condemning anything.

Kind of strange too that NK and Iran are probably sharing missle and nuclear technology, and he really isn’t taking a definite stand on either. Remember the axis of evil? They all laughed at Bush. To me it still holds.
The Mullahs know that all they have to do is kill and/or imprison a dozen or so of our troops (no matter how many thousands we kill of them) and Barry will show his yellow feathers and force our withdrawal out of the Middle East.
I don't want our troops to be used like that, to fight without a clear mandate to win like Democrat Lyndon Johnson did to our troops in Vietnam. So, for once, it might not be totally bad that Barry is voting "present".
The party’s still on for the 4th of July, and that speaks volumes about Obama’s “outrage”.
