That and his seat-pac ELT should be yowling its electronic head off - so to speak....
Most of Tooele COunty is as flat as a pancake, tho it does have a large mountian range.
Prayers that he is found safe and whole. Maybe he stopped for dinner at Tops Country Cafe in Dugway?
BTW - the area is teeming (over-run?) with so called mormon crickets - this may be slowing down the search...on the road, it’s like driving on squishy ice.

The Anchorage Airport has a set of hoovercraft for winter ice rescues.
I spent a summer TDY just south of Dugway running tests for the USAF - fell in love with the area. The Intermountain West (AKA Great Basin) offers so much - hunting, fishing, boating and so on.
Alaska OTOH is cooler, got to where I literally got sick in the heat...

He said he was too busy to talk just then and will call me back when he had a chance. Waiting.

Ditto on your prayers.
One of my classmates died after a mid-air collision back in 1976... it's still hard to believe he died so young. Hopefully this pilot will make it out OK.
