RIP Ed.
“Star Search” - the predecessor to American Idol and all of it’s clones.

He was proudest of being a Marine aviator (Colonel).

Miss you Ed. Prayers go out to his family and friends.
I remember one Tonight show where Johnny informed Ed that he just got a letter from his co host. It was a Publishers Clearing House entry form. Johnny asked Ed that if he ever won there would there be country on earth where he could hide out.
Thank for the memories to both. Now heaven has a good late night show, something we don’t.

he also was a spokesman for Publishers Clearing House I think he was a spokesman for American Family Publishers, not Publishers Clearing House.
