WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration plans to kill a controversial Bush administration spy satellite program at the Department of Homeland Security, according to officials familiar with the decision.
The program came under fire from its inception two years ago. Democratic lawmakers said it would lead to domestic spying.

The program would have provided federal, state and local officials with extensive access to spy-satellite imagery — but no eavesdropping capabilities— to assist with emergency response and other domestic-security needs, such as identifying where ports or border areas are vulnerable to terrorism.

Bullcrap. They won’t abandon it. They’ll SAY they’re abandoning it...and then use it for their own desires.
If it helps combat terrorism they will abandon it. If it helps them pin-point CENSUS reports for another filegate for their political purposes, yes they will use it.

The Zero and his ilk are deceiving the public as if they’re reversing Bush 43’s policies. They are continuing it, and advancing the police state agenda covertly.

If that's the case I'm glad they canceled it. Military-grade spy satellite data should only be used by the military to protect America, not for law enforcement.

You are so right. They are completely ignoring the storm clouds gathering outside the country and are putting plans in place to take absolute control of the American people. Given how the ozero team hates this country and they are all a bunch of control freaks, this just makes sense. I really fear for this country should a terrorist strike happen. Not for the actual attack, but what ozero’s reaction would be. Given how he and his team are ignoring the Constitution during calm times, what would they do in the aftermath of a crisis. rahm emmanual let it slip that you never let a good crisis go to waste....

Well said, IMHO always fear the “true believer” on either side.
They NEVER give up access, they rename it and claim to give it up but they NEVER give it up.
