That was my 1st thought about this. After all, he had the audacity to turn down the gov. titty- an obvious sign of instability, right?
If it gets any traction at all, expect them to run a newer version on Sarah Palin.
These stories sure do bring the FR RINOs rising to the top like pond scum on a hot day.

You didn’t answer the question about the direct quotes from his wife and aide, or are you implying that they were made up from whole cloth?
I admired Sanford for his stand on the stimulus funds but something isn’t right here. If you can’t see that well...

I’m not especially enamoured with Sarah Palin but I’ve seen enough of this crap directed at her to recognize it when irs directed at Sanford.
They sound like misquotes/half taken quotes, to me.The something not right, is just politics/spin and a guy wanting Sanford’s job. If you can’t see this well...as you say LOL good luck with that.

Gov Sanford did NOT disappear...he coordinated with his wife, family, subordinates and those he left in charge. This whole thing is absolutely bullcrap.
All of us need time away, especially those in positions of authority. It isn’t like there has been an Al Queda attack in SC. Everyone gets a vacation, and there is no cell phone service in areas of Applachian Trail.
He has competent people in his office, and this bull is just to stir up trouble, just like they try to do with Palin. SC isn’t going to hell in a handbasket if he takes a week off.
Settled. If her husband was missing for some unknown reason, her reply would have been a bit different.
My larger point is that the MSM is out to get ANY Republican politician who has the potential to challenge Obama. That includes Sanford. As a result, those in that small group need to be very conscious of their behavior. Anything that looks odd or sounds off-key will be exploited.
