I need a crash cart, stat! The political prospects for major U.S. healthcare reform have taken a decided turn for the worse in recent days (at least from the point of view of many Democrats). And you dont need to be some totally plugged-in Washington insider to understand that.
Just take a look-see at the stock market performance of industry players such as Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealth Group, and WellPoint. Shares have been trending higher of late. Whats been slowly dawning on Wall Street is that the legislative process in Washington is unlikely to produce a national public health insurance option that could eventually squeeze out the private sector. Indeed, the betting markets give just a 43 percent chance of that happening, despite a Democrat president and Democrat control of Congress.

Another promise all shoot to ####. When will they ever learn that just because some of the people want something does not mean everyone wants that!!
Here’s hoping it’ll be D.O.A.

Killing the public option will take socializing health care from a short-term to a long-term project. A public option could wipe out most private insurance in 2 to 3 years. Without that they could still wipe it out by continually tightening down on the regulatory screws, but it would take 7-10 yrs. In order to save healthcare we need to kill this entire thing D-E-A-D!

Pray for America
Give us real health care reform. Stop the lawyers from stealing the money we pay for health insurance. Stop the lawsuits for anything but malicious intent or deliberate malpractice. Don't allow for suits for unproven mistakes or misdiagnoses. The success rate for these suits is one in four. Make the Law Firm suing place a one-third bond on the amount being sued for. If they plaintiff loses, the bond is forfeited to the court, or to the defendant's legal team, or both. See how many consignment lawsuits are filed then. You won't see this happening. The reason is almost everyone in congress is a former lawyer or law student. They made their money that way. The judges making these decisions in these lawsuits are also encumbered that way. There is one cure for the costs of health care today. That is for the people to sit on their senators and representatives, to force them to control the stealing called malpractice lawsuits.
