"I've Always Been Struck By How Obsessed the President and the White House are with Fox News"
Newsbusters ^ | June 21, 2009 | Noel Sheppard

"I’ve always been struck by how -- and it’s not too strong a word -- how obsessed the President and the White House are with Fox News."

So said ABC's George Stephanopoulos during the Roundtable segment of Sunday's "This Week."

I kid you not.

With an on-screen chyron shockingly asking, "Free Media Ride For Obama?" the former member of the administration exceedingly paranoid of what it declared was a vast right-wing conspiracy actually discussed with his guests the fawning coverage the current White House resident is getting from the press.

Fox news is the only news that does not just report his daily eat outs while he ruins this once great country.

Let's see......FoxNews has the most top rated shows, none of the other alphabet stations come close.

The news on Fox isn't tinged with the euphoric, glam/glitter, pie-eyed fawning of The One.

Since Zero can't control Fox, he must condemn it.

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. They believe that they’re superior to others and have little regard for other people’s feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

Narcissistic personality disorder is one of several types of personality disorders. Personality disorders are conditions in which people have traits that cause them to feel and behave in socially distressing ways, limiting their ability to function in relationships and in other areas of their life, such as work or school. In particular, narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by dramatic, emotional behavior, in the same category as histrionic, antisocial and borderline personality disorders. Narcissistic personality disorder treatment is centered around psychotherapy.

Well, I said babies not little girls, but they are sissies too. It is just a saying you know, baby girls.....

BTW, I have a girl that plays flag football, rides bikes and still digs in the dirt. I am keenly aware of girl stereotyping :)

A pathological narcissist cannot take criticism of any kind. He loathes Fox and anyone that doesn't believe he is *the one and only that can save the world*.

No doubt you are correct, but he is a highly functional narcissist. You can tell though that he will get nasty if criticized. And we may see a total collapse and emotional break down if things go badly for him. Not the guy to have the power of life and death.

raybbr is a FReeper who has stayed on top of this issue of Obama's narcissism. And he has posted a very interesting article which prompted a thought-provoking thread: Understanding Obama: The Making of a Fuehrer (http://www.faithfreedom.org/obama.html)

The articles I have read do not seem to treat of the possible connection between a narcissistic personality and a totalitarian worldview. For example, it is easy to see that Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, and Mao were all narcissists. Equally revealing, I think, is that they were all committed to their own world view which was utterly totalitarian, with themselves at the pinnacle of power, of course.

If Obama is in fact a narcissist it would be natural for him to seize on a hard left, even a Marxist/ Communist view of the world. I have never had much doubt that Obama was a Manchurian Marxist. His associations throughout his life leave little doubt that this is his bent.

If we are presently governed by a Manchurian Marxist who is a narcissist, the country is certainly in grave peril.

If this is the case the first thing freepers have to recognize is that Obama is not stupid, as alleged by many even on this thread, but really very clever. No description of narcissism holds that the narcissist is stupid. To the contrary he is remarkably manipulative and sensitive in telling his audience what they want to hear. Not one of the men cited above was stupid and they all manipulated people in their millions. Let's not hear any more of this nonsense about how Obama cannot function without a Teleprompter.

The second opinion that freepers ought to drop immediately is the idea (also expressed on this thread) that Obama is so thin skinned that he cannot function in the face of criticism. He will appear unflappable in the face of criticism. He will appear unflappable when caught dead to rights. Hitler only started chewing carpets when his world thoroughly disintegrated. Stalin was only in enfeebled by a depression for a short time in the beginning of the war. Otherwise these men were fully in charge at the cost of millions of lines.

If Obama is a narcissistic authoritarian do not expect him to blow up. He will carry on believing in his own cause to the very end because his capacity to rationalize and justify is almost infinite.

Obama has been making snarky remarks about everyone who doesn’t see eye-to-eye with him since he was inaugurated. He has the strength of character of a high school princess.

I’m sure to the smug, arrogant Obama, it’s extremely difficult to believe that anyone or any network could possibly disagree with his wonderful, well thought out plans to nationalize, Lenin-style, every aspect of American life.

"I’ve always been struck by how -- and it’s not too strong a word -- how obsessed the President and the White House are with Fox News."
It's kinda funny.
This 'obsession' Barry and his goons have with Fox News could be diagnosed as a Paranoid Psychosis(1). Which in any state, and by Barry's own AG, Eric Holder(2) and his BATF Division, is enough justification to TAKE AWAY YOUR GUNS FOREVER . Yet this paranoid psychotic has his finger on the Nuclear Button!

Now ain't that a hoot!

(1) Psychosis: People with psychosis often become unreasonably fearful or suspicious (paranoid). People with psychosis are sometimes referred to as being psychotic.

(2) Holder has his own 'issues'. That guy, 'just ain't right up there' (medical term).

You know if he could, Obama would take Fox News off the air in a heart beat. The MSM would say nothing in Fox's defense.

“...So said ABC’s George Stephanopoulos...”

George will be carving out some market share with that clever observation. :’) Meanwhile, ABC does an infomercial for Obamacare. George’s remarks are just a corporate alibi.
