Millions of Iranians take to the streets to defy a theocratic dictatorship that, among its other finer qualities, is a self-declared enemy of America and the tolerance and liberties it represents. The demonstrators are fighting on their own, but they await just a word that America is on their side.

And what do they hear from the president of the United States?

Silence. Then, worse. Three days in, the president makes clear his policy: continued "dialogue" with their clerical masters.

Iranian protesters are BEGGING for a strong show of support from this quisling president. He betrays humanity. The WH has its twitter live page set to IranElection with MO avatar. Says "sorry 'bout your pain."

He ripped into Coulter for saying Libs are not for freedom. His examples were all weak and contrived. Guess he wants to stay on the A Party list rather than exposing their hypocrisy.

This leaves the mullahs to decide what is justice and injustuce. They have called the protesters terrorists. (Obama won’t even say the word when it is true.)
Obviously, they choose to deem their crackdown on “terrorists” as justice.

Why should Krauthammer or anyone else expect Obama to show support for the protesters? Here's my theory (already posted on another FR thread):

Obama doesn’t share the world view, sympathies and aspiration of the westernized sector of Iran who are risking their lives on the streets of Iran. The sector of the Middle East he is determined to reach out to is the anti-west, anti-american element - Amedinejad & his supporters, Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, etc..

It would seem Mousavi has had an extreme epiphany. I don’t think he realized how deep the thirst in Iran for freedom was running. Now that he knows, he is ready to martyr himself for the years of pain he helped cause.

He is a Muslim sympathizer, but one has to remember that he is nothing more than an image that people see on TV. There is no real Obama. He was created by the Chicago political machine. He has no core values. He has no clue what he is doing. Without a teleprompter or someone whispering in his earpiece, he sounds like a blithering idiot.

The world is falling apart, we are being threatened with nuclear annihilation and Obama goes out for ice cream and the media covers it like it was the State of the Union address.

Supposing we had an actual leader in the White House, what could he do? I thought maybe take some troops in Iraq and Afganistan and mass them at the border? Coordinate with Israel and have their jets flyover? Do something to scare the Mullahs crapless?

This is a sad time for The United States. Barak Obama is completely useless to lovers of liberty.

Then he would be back to something he recognizes from his childhood years. Barry spent his elementary years in islamic Indonesia.... these years are a persons formative years and basis for reality recognition......and he spent his time learning islamic history and culture,,,,, as opposed to what made the west.....inclusive of the industrial revolution which third world islam did not see.

Obama has no real identity of his own, and no thought-out core values or political position, which is , to put it mildly, nearly unprecedented for a President of the United States, if you exclude the Democrats of the last 40 years. Instead, Obama made it clear from the get-go, that his campaign, and election, would be about YOU, not HIM. (””He” wasn’t important, this is all about what you want, I am just your
creation, sprung fully-formed but requiring constant guidance from your always-changing ‘needs’”)
This went over well enough with enough voters to get him elected. BUt when you examine it, you see that it also absolves him of ALL responsibility for ALL decisions he might make “in your name”. Hence, the biggest con game of all has been pulled on our nation and its people, even his own supporters.
ANd oh yeah, Krauthammer, before I read this piece from JPost just now, I too was pointing out that we really don’t need to go any further in understanding the Bama but listening to him refer to “the supreme leader” BY THAT NAME, which I pointed out earlier, would be impossible to imagine from any other leader of a Western power. But of course Obama is not the leader of a Western power, but a Fantasy King of some “New World in the Making” only he and his Islamic cohorts and America-haters know about and are working on creating in the perpetual power void Obama is creating day by day.

I too will never forgot the brave show of support following 9-11 from masses of Iranian people , especially youth. It’s nearly 8 years ago, and for all those years, we’ve been wondering WHEN a new page might be turned in Iranian history. It very well COULD be happening now-—or at least NOW events have shown it to be closer than it’s ever been......and as luck would have it, we have a pathetic pandering weasel Muslim in the White House who has ALREADY shown his constitutional (so to speak) inability to take a stand for the most embryonic expressions of freedom and liberty.
