TEHRAN, IRAN - A Mousavi supporter holds a toy gun in his hand to intimidate police and militia during a demonstration on June 20, 2009 in Tehran, Iran.

But he's fighting for freedom. Tactics are a separate discussion.
He's not at home hiding under his bed, like most men will do at such times.
There is no central Iranian knowledge base among civilians about “How to fight a dictatorship and win.”
It’s all ad-hoc, block by block, across many cities. On every street, something else is being tried. Hopefully, they are ambushing police cars in well-laid traps, and stealing their weapons.
But the point is that people are resisting, by many methods. If nothing else, this guy is “spreading disinformation” about “armed resistors” appearing, and is sowing confusion and fear among the police.
A kitchen knife? A hoe? A large wrench? My car? SOMETHING.

I’m with you on that count, but it makes me wonder...just how restrictive & repressive must that regime have been, that no Bows/arrows, or even slingshots are allowed?
The evil of that kind of tyranny is right out in front now.
YES!!!!!!!! But that DOES NOT EXIST YET.
What this man is doing is BUYING TIME. If the street demos are quashed, it's game over, maybe for many more years.
This doctor/engineer type is buying time, very possibly with his life, while the “next generation fighters” are hopefully filling molotovs and planning police car traps.
But somebody has to keep it going on on the streets until your “organized resistance” can begin to form. It can't come from nowhere, and it will take time.
These hapless heros are keeping the torch burning until that time.
jeez! brave man.
Buy an entrenching tool.
Sharpen the shovel blade.
Yesterday on Twitter, when the Basiji were marking doors of Iranians to raid later. I was impressed with the Czech's who were advising tactics-tear down street signs, and house numbers. Substances that would remove the marks from the doors, methods to take down the Basiji's motorbikes.
I've read many TEOTWAWKI books where people are trying to survive with improvised weapons, but under the stress that these people on Twitter were actually in a real life & death situation, and not just characters in a book, I was totally useless. Most of the strategies in my pea brain involve the 2nd amendment, and those Poor Souls on the streets of Tehran, and other Iranian cities don't have that.
I pray their efforts and shed blood are not in vain.
The more untraceable, the better. Have the weapons smuggled in by menstruating lesbians with an attitude!
Would you have known it was a toy gun if the Ass Press hadn't mentioned it? From a distance, it does look like a real gun, which is why the guy is effective at holding off the police.
What's with the large font? I see fine.
One thing a rebellion against a tyrant needs to succeed is enough people who aren't afraid.
Perhaps this guy's intent is to inspire others not to be afraid, even while risking his own safety to do it.
If true, a Darwin Award is the last award I'd give this guy.
Talk about jumping in the shark infested waters! Somebody help that brave man! He’s trying to get his country back!
“Id love to see the CIA drop boxes of weapons all over Teheran. “
Hell, Obama, the Muslim, refuses to even give a word of support! He is all for the Muslim kooks and their murdering ways.
