There starting to take family memebers, my guess to try to blackmail the organizers.
This fathers day remember are soldiers overseas and our Iranian friends, the father of Nena whom watched as as his daughter was shot and died in front of him.

Tweet from PersianKiwi in Tehran says Rafsanjani himself is also a prisoner
Faeze Hashemi Rafsanjani and family members being held prisoner in military compound - #Iranelection -
He holds the position of Chairman of the Assembly of Experts (a deliberative body of Mujtahids that is charged with electing, monitoring, and dismissing the Supreme Leader of Iran) and Chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council of Iran (an unelected administrative assembly that resolves legislative conflicts between the Majlis and the Council of Guardians).
It's like Obama jailing the Senate leadership. This is a big deal.

The arrest of Rafsanjanis is regime internal power struggle. They can take out each other as they please.
My prayers, worries and support go to the Iranians on the street and their families, like Neda (RIP) and her father.

re: Faezeh Hashemi, a renowned women's rights activist
Do you think that the National Organization of Women in the US will even take notice? My guess is that they would rather whine about the supposed “horrible oppression of women” in the US.

Ping.
I suspect this will lead to more anger and a bigger divide in Iran. Strikes and sabotage may come next.

If it is in Rafsanjanis ability, he will makee those who ordered and caused this, to pay as dear a price as he can...and considering how many bodies he knows where they are buried, after all these years...It could be a very dear price indeed.

It's good that the world is seeing that the political entity called Iran is nothing but an iron-fisted, mullah-run islamic dictatorship. This is what radical muslims want the world to become.
Piss be upon the lot of 'em.

Mullah on mullah. Regime vs. Rafsanjani. This is a huge deal; means the Islamic leadership is factioning out. Let ‘em eat their own. A divided house can’t stand.
