Shame On You, Mr. President
Canada Free Press ^ | Sunday, June 21, 2009 | Nancy Morgan

Graphic video of an Iranian woman being shot dead while watching the Iran protests with her father is sweeping the net. While Iran state media is doing its best to put a muzzle on foreign media reporting on the violent revolution unfolding in Iran, American media is under no such constraint. Americans are treated to the news that Obama is eating an ice cream cone.

As news of 20 deaths so far between protesters and police in the streets of Tehran is reported by Iran’s state media, American media reports that Hillary Clinton is recovering from surgery on her elbow.

President Obama, after being elected President in part due to his carefully crafted image as a champion of the oppressed and supporter of equality for all, has decided that America will remain neutral, as he made clear while addressing (and validating) ‘Supreme Leader’.

As events continue to unfold, Obama has been forced to devote a small part of his never ending television face-time to opine that Iran should stop “all violent and unjust actions.” Noticeably lacking in Obama’s address was the passion he showed a mere two days ago, when he put critics of his financial overhaul on notice, saying, “While I’m not spoiling for a fight, I’m ready for one.”

George Bush's legacy and fight endures in the Mid East, despite, and in spite of Obama, and THAT is Obama's real dielma. It was George Bush's policy of engagement and support of liberty that has led to the people of Iran seeing the measure of freedom now established on both sides of them in Iraq and Afghjanistan...and desiring it for themselves.

Obama cannot possibly go too far in recognizing that, or he absolutely repudiates himself and his entire foreign policy.

...but their fight in Iran is far from over, and is getting brutal.

He doesn’t care about the oppressed. He said all that for votes and still does. People are starting notice.

Pray for America and Iran’s Freedom

This Iran revolt is what GWB saw in the future. It has the potential to have him recognized as one of the greatest Presidents in modern times.

BHO is not going to allow that to happen if he can help it.

has decided that America will remain neutral,

But that's what the world demanded of us, based on the reception Pres. Bush was given whenever he made a foreign trip. Isn't Pres. Bush's "meddling" why foreigners had such low opinions of America? I wish they'd make up their minds.

The situation in Iran is going to set back Hussein 0bamas domestic policies toward Gun Control And “The Fairness Doctrine”.

He already is. A man with a vision and steely determination. Didn't give a crap about what the anti American communist media thought of him, he pressed on with what was right.

I don’t know if I can accept totally the validity of this article’s claim. Just checked real quick over on CNN and they appear to be talking about the Iran situation. FNC (My regular news source) is covering it quite heavily, albeit not as all-Iran all-the-time.

I don’t like O anymore than the next guy. But I dont think anything is hopeful in Iran. It is like arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, the country is a Muslim shipwreck and is the number one enemy of the USA in the world. IMHO people who are getting taken in by the events in Iran because of their blind hatred of O are fools. Iran AND Obama are threats to the USA...

Unfortuantely, when one runs for, and becomes the POTUS, there is not a moment when the nation or it’s values should become second place. There are troops who are fathers who do not have the opportunity to be with their children on father’s day, he is their CIC, and should show respect instead of his ass getting an ice cream cone with his kids.

Obama taking an ice-cream break as women and young men are dying in the streets of Tehran clearly shows the disconnect with reality held by most ‘ivyleague’ community activist/rabblerousers.
