CBS News reporter Mark Knoller issued a sharp retort to people on Twitter responding with derision to critics of Barack Obama's decision to go out for ice cream today while Iran is in the midst of a citizens revolt:
"Surprised by the outrage at the ice cream outing. What is it you expect or want the US to do about Iran? Attack? War?"
Knoller's liberal defense of Obama is not surprising. Four years ago he was Cindy Sheehan's head cheerleader when she arrived in Crawford, Texas to launch a protest against President Bush and the was in Iraq. Knoller failed to report that Sheehan was a supporter of the terrorists in Iraq who described them as "freedom fighters" to Knoller in an exclusive interview she gave him.
One could envision the drool hanging from Knoller's crusty beard as the portly liberal reporter Twittered about Obama's ice cream purchases:
You're gonna laff: Obama & the girls actually bought Frozen Puppy pops for Bo: flavors: pumpkin, peanut butter and yogurt

Is there any truth to the rumor that when served the ice cream the clerk asked “Do you want blackberry on that?”
Both Bush presidents were criticized every time they left the White House.
Remember all the interviews of traffic jam “victims”?
Mark lives in Obama’s fantasyland full of rainbows, unicorns and ice cream cones. The boy needs to try to get a grip on reality if he wants to be a credible reporter.
They are intellectual midgets.
Figures. The CBS reporting team probably wants their college records hidden just as much as the Obamaloon.
They both lie within the set if “not able to do anything useful in a technological world”... hence their choice of careers.
I’m on it!
Excellent!
A young woman who was standing aside with her father watching the protests was shot by a basij member hiding on the rooftop of a civilian house. He had clear shot at the girl and could not miss her. However, he aimed straight her heart. I am a doctor, so I rushed to try to save her. But the impact of the gunshot was so fierce that the bullet had blasted inside the victims chest, and she died in less than 2 minutes.
The protests were going on about 1 kilometers away in the main street and some of the protesting crowd were running from tear gass used among them, towards Salehi St.
May God hear my prayers for the soul of this poor young lady whose name we may never know. May He give her peace and the freedom that she died seeking. May He also bless the ones who bring the light of truth to my eyes so that those, so that those who see darkness shall fail.
How about at least attempt to present a visage of seriousness?
He goes about the business of the presidency with the same kind of solemnity as a new high school guidance counselor, wanting to be liked by the "cool kids."
To the rest of the adult world, he looks like a lightweight fool.
Good, let him go out in public, press the flesh, eat burgers, ice cream, skateboard, whatever.
Keep it up, Biden may get a new job!
Hey! He got the munchies!
Snark!
Maybe the point is: Hussein is just a figurehead anyway — someone else is calling the shots in the White House.
Couldn’t Michele have stepped in to play momma and take the girls while daddy works? Oh, that’s right, “O” wants all the daddies in the US to take tomorrow off and that includes him as well... (sarc)
What a fool.
We don’t care if Obama has an ice cream and takes a break- but is there any good reason why he couldn’t have done take-out while Iran is in flames?
It’s the whole ME ME ME ME ME ME spectacle of The One that is so freakin’ tiresome.
Well, we all know this story would be a little different if this was Pres Bush...by golly it would be non stop coverage with every DC pundit weighing in.
You'd think he'd lay low and show some respect for the Freedom Fighters in Iran? But nooooo...Obama had to make today all about HIM and his girls.
Can't wait for tomorrow's Father's Day report.

I only read Twitter when I can’t fall asleep. There, 60 seconds and I’m out!
I agree. I am reading the texts but the images say more. But an image is worth a thousand words anyway.
I think it’s a silly fad. Nothing of much importance is going to be said in 140 characters or less, and breaking information up into lots of little pieces makes for an incoherent mess.
“Maybe the point is: Hussein is just a figurehead anyway someone else is calling the shots in the White House”.
Calling the “SHOTS” in the White House? NO COMMENT
