A New York Times reporter has escaped from his Taliban captors after being held for seven months in the mountains of Afghanistan and Pakistan, the newspaper reported on its website on Saturday.
David Rohde, together with a local reporter, Tahir Ludin, and their driver, Asadullah Mangal, were abducted on November 10 outside Kabul.

Oh gee, didn't know you weren't in your cubical...
sheeshh didn't even miss the guy...
Sheeyit. The guy was probably embedded.
Knowing the Times' record for aiding and abetting the enemy, combined with the fact they are almost
flat broke, for once, this time only, I tend to believe them.
Why would the Times have to pay a ransome they print nothing but good about the Iranian thugs they run that country..As soon as the thugs knew they had a NYT reporter they released him ...you can bet on that..Who else would give them such raving reviews, if the Times get mad at them..
Did he dress like Iron Man?
Most likely a put up job. The terrorists understand that the Times is on their side. Why would they kidnap an ally? This guy was embedded with the Taliban and will serve as a propaganda agent for them.
This anti_American reporter is a taliban and al qaeda sympathizer. He was whining about Guantanamo and the prisoners that were sent back to their home countries before he disappeared. i wonder if the taliban treated him as they treat their sheep while he was their guest. i guess he isn’t Jewish or they would have given him the Daniel Pearl treatment.
Abducted, LOL. Did the bring home new rugs?
“no ransom paid”—from the NY Slimes are we to believe anything coming out of them.
Why would the NYT have to pay them when it is likely that our own State Department did at the request of Obama?

Is that a real front page headline?
If so, its just mind boggling. I had no idea they’ve been so bad for so long.
Aren’t they on the same side?
