The Man Who Might Be the Answer to the GOP's Problems
http://www.youtube.com ^ | 6/19/2009 | MarcoRubio.com

Fred-

Last night, Marco Rubio won the Pasco County GOP's straw poll, 73-9, illustrating the growing support for our movement at the grassroots level. The St. Petersburg Times described the result as "a sign of the governor's poor standing among some of his historically strongest supporters." They go on to note, Pasco is just one county removed from his home in Pinellas, for one, and the Pasco REC also endorsed Crist early in his 2006 GOP primary against Tom Gallagher."

We've got a long way to go until Primary Day, but victories like this help demonstrate the growing momentum behind Marco's campaign.

The national media is also starting to take notice. Appearing on "MSNBC Live with Carlos Watson" earlier today, Marco was introduced as "a man who might be the answer to the GOP's problems." He then made his case to a national audience about why conservative principles are needed now more than ever. I hope you will take a moment watch the video of Marco's segment at http://MarcoRubio.com and forward it on to your friends and family.

Proud to Stand,

Brian Seitchik, Campaign Manager
Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate

I don’t like the fact that Rubio endorsed Huckabee in 2008.

Actually, I think that it was the Republican National Senatorial Committee, and not the RNC, that poked its nose into this one.

I just sent back an envelop, to the Senatorial Committee, without a check. I simply said, “Stay out of the Primary races” on the comment line.

Don't call a man, that blocked ever bill addressing illegal immigration in the Florida leglistature, a conservative. He's just another republican rino.

Yep, he's a Bushie. OTOH, Crist is a Democrat. I think it's a matter of which one want want to locate the furthest from Florida.

I would say Gov RINO is toast...

Based on what?
From what I see here, Crist will stomp him flat.

I am still supporting anyone but crist, but in all probability, he is the next RINO Senator from Florida

“Just putting forth someone different is the same as trashing her.”

I agree wholeheartedly.

It really is amazing, but the corporate executives have, in many cases, become such suck ups and whores that they are not much help anymore.

It is nice that the US Chamber of Commerce has come out against Obamacare, but they supported way too much “stimulus” and pork to be taken seriously anymore.

Blue Blood Republicans don't like conflict, when it comes from OUR side.

You point out that Obama THRIVES on conflict, that “Neighborhood Organizing” is nothing more than rabble rousing and stirring up anger, hate, resentment and envy, and the blue bloods look at you like you are nuts.

Obama has taken Alinski’s method to its highest level.

He has masked his evil intentions with a calm voice, that does not threaten the upper crust, the very naive, the very stupid upper crust.

Your problem here in arguing with theser people is that they are not interested in logic or outcomes.

Their obsession is with their social standing.the left has managed to convince pedople that it is upper-class to support the left.

If you don’t gush over Obama and the elite bureacracies, you are considered trashy and lower-class, one of the snaggle-toothed rednecks.

It’s a form of social contamination to ask ‘so what really is wrong with Sarah Palin?’ Nothing is wrong with Sarah Palin, it’s just that she has been designated as a lower-class signifier.

So all your friends at the dinner are thinking ‘if I agree with this guy I’ll look declasse, I’ll be identified as trashy and stupid’.

It’s a social thing.

He says no, the facts from what I’ve seen do not really tell us.

He says the bills would not have made it onto the floor since they had no support, sponsors of the bill say otherwise. Rubio is backed on his position that he did not block the legislation from numerous members in the Florida government.

I’ve heard Rubio speak a few times at different events and he has not wavered on his stated position on immigration that I’ve seen.

His postion has been no amnesty and secure the borders. When it comes to illegals in this country he has taken the republican line that we do not have the resources to remove all of them from the US but we should not give them automatic citizenship. He is concerned about the message Republicans send out that we are against the immigrant not against illegal immigration.

Rubio’s biggest problem with the issue of immigration is that he’s given people reason to think he’s pro-illegals. Personally I think he needs to toughen his stance on the issue and be very clear, the US will not tolerate people entering this country illegally and we will not provide them with services at tax payer expense EXCEPT to remove them from the US.

You can say he’s not a conservative all day long, that does not change the fact that he is pro-2nd amendment, against abortion, against gay marriage, believes in secure borders and no amnesty, and has very high ratings from various conservative groups.

Blue Collar Union Democrats should get HAMMERED with commercials about how the lefty loony greens of THEIR party are costing them jobs!

Inner City types should get blasted with advertising about how the DEMOCRATS are soft on crime, and that the DEMOCRATS subsidize the criminal class, with hand outs.

All Democrats need to be reminded of the treason against America that runs rampant in the Democrat Party.

National Security
Law and Order
Economic Opportunity

These things cut across Party lines and racial lines, and will appeal to ALL age groups.

Is Rubio better than Crist?

What other options do we have?

As I’ve posted before, after Charlie Crist made his announcement, I was sickened. I did not want another RINO to replace the one we have. Then just a few days later, Marca made his announcement. I did some research and also attended the FL 4th District 2010 kickoff. Marco attended and spoke to us and took our questions. He is the real deal in the same as is Sarah.

I could make the case as well, being 23.

Not to sound conceited, but I’m probably what the GOP could use right now. Only problem is, they don’t care about the Conservative message.

We’ve got to put forward different people though.

Sarah has every single woman’s vote locked in, except for the rabid Liberals who won’t give up their “right” to kill a baby for anything.

We’ll need a younger John Wayne to appeal to men everywhere.

I also think we’ll need a city-savvy guy to appeal to large cities as well. Generally, people in NY and NJ won’t care for somebody who is “simpler” than they are.

I don’t believe it would be trashing her to put up different people for different populations. It would just be the smart thing to do.
