I’m sure this kind of liver transplant will be available on demand to everyone under the socialized health care system that Ubama and the rats want for America. Same with Ted Kennedy’s brain surgeon.

I forget - - does Steve Jobs support the rats and their socialist health care?

I also believe the claim that somehow Tennessee has an only 48 day liver transplant waiting period.....

Fits great with my theory that Jobs tried alternative medicine for a few months. When they didn't work he went mainstream liver transplant but had to do it quick. So off to Tennesee!

I may be wrong, but if Steve Jobs AGAIN has secret major surgery without telling the stockholders, he and Apple will be probably pilloried by the same people who wanted to file stockholder suits the previous time. Even though he was on medical leave, his stated reason for taking the leave would be a lie to the stockholders. I don't think the Board of Directors would have allowed it.

This holds true in other corporations but not at Apple.
Everybody know the Apple inner dynamic is one of a kind
When you buy Apple stock you understand that Steve does it his way (everybody knows this)

Why would Tennessee have only a 48 day waiting period to get a nationally sought Liver Transplant when all the other states liver transplant candidates have to wait 306 days to get to the top of the list?

Would Steve Jobs risk his life by going to a backwater state hospital for medical care when he is in the back yard of Stanford University, UC San Francisco Medical School, US Davis Medical School, and a host of other world class transplant hospitals?

He supports 'rats... but I don't have a clue about his opinion of National health care.

When you buy Apple stock you understand that Steve does it his way (everybody knows this)

That would not stop the New York State Employees Association, a major Apple stockholder, from suing for perceived losses due to false information.

Hey, he looked good last time I saw him at a barbecue joint.

Wozniak at a barbecue joint? What a shock...

More on Tennessee wait times-— http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124546226305633529.html

Like I said. He screwed around with alternative medicine. As time ran out he was forced to go to Tennessee. Had no choice. The list at Stanford would be far too long

I still don't believe a 48 day wait. If I were one of the 16 thousand Liver Transplant candidates looking at a 306 day wait till I got to the top of the list, I would hop my body on a plane, rent a $400 a month apartment in Tennessee for a couple of months and get on their list. Nature abhors a vacuum and if the waiting period in Tennessee is what is claimed, there should be a mighty sucking sound coming from that state.

Yep, all 32 gigs of it in sleek black. And I got it at the 299 price even though I just switched over to AT&T Wireless last August. Talked with the AT&T reps on Thursday and they let me have the full discount.

Lucky me.

I really love the new screen surface : it's fingerprint resistant and that really makes a big difference. Also like the voice controls.

“If I even thought this guy received this transplant because of his billions or the influence it bought, I think I would probably go right off the deep end.”

Why shouldn’t a billionaire who created an iconic product, changed the world for the better, paid 100 times more in taxes than your wife will make, and helped employ tens of thousands of people get jumped to the head of the line ?

besides, there is the case of Mickey Mantle

“Mantle received a liver transplant at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, on June 8, 1995, because his liver had been damaged by years of chronic alcoholism, cirrhosis and hepatitis C. However, during the operation, doctors discovered he had inoperable liver cancer. In July, he had recovered enough to deliver a press conference at Baylor, and noted that many fans had looked to him as a role model. “This is a role model: Don’t be like me,” he said. He also established the Mickey Mantle Foundation to raise awareness for organ donations. Soon, he was back in the hospital, where it was found that his cancer was rapidly spreading throughout his body.

Though he was very popular, Mantle’s liver transplant was a source of some controversy. Some felt that his fame had permitted him to receive a donor liver very quickly, bypassing other patients who had been waiting for much longer. Mantle’s doctors insisted that the decision was based solely on medical criteria, but acknowledged that the very short wait created the appearance of favoritism.[6]

Mantle died on August 13, 1995

“Gawd, I loved the guy - he was a legend in the industry, but I never agreed with this - he shoulda had to wait like everyone else “

Why ? You are saying that McGowan should wait behind a high school drop out working at 7-11 just because the drop out got there first ?
