I do know there were Freepers who just were totally against Romney. I, for one, would have preferred Romney to McCain. I don't mind sharing as I have before. I supported Fred Thompson in the beginning, then ended up voting for Romney in the Florida primary as Fred had dropped out. Once McCain won the nomination I voted for Sarah, rather than stay home. I believe many conservatives stayed home rather than vote for McCain. Can't say I blame them, but I just could not stand the thought of Obama winning, which of course he did. I wonder if the Romney haters had a choice now of having Obama or Romney, whom they would choose?

Frankly, based on their hatred of Romney I would guess they would prefer Obama. For me it is not that they hate Romney; it is the way they gang up on anyone who disagrees with them. They travel in evil packs like characters from a Mad Max movie. It really changed how I feel about FreeRepublic because the moderators seemed completely cool with the anti-Romney gang style personal attacks.
