My biggest question on that score is WHY THE H### DID THEY WAIT UNTIL ZERO WAS IN OFFICE?!?!!!! He'll side with the mullahs, overtly or covertly. GW would have sided with the people. We actually had assets on the ground according to some stories I've read, the key word being HAD!

WHY THE H### DID THEY WAIT UNTIL ZERO WAS IN OFFICE? Remember that the Iranian people live under a tyrannical government. They don't have the same rights codified into their country's constitution as we do.
It took a very long train of usurpations, abuses, and offenses against them to bring them to the point of mass protests against their government.
Sadly, as far as US support for their cause is concerned, the timing couldn't have been worse for them.
